This COVID stuff has definitely seen your drinking increase, hehe...

What Barleywine?

Of all brews, I fucking love me some Barleywine. I'm generally a fan of Barleywine but lost my supplier of harder to find options
Yeah... We didn't aim for a dry Jan but did aim and scale it back more from a calorie count reason.

It was the Sierra Nevada 2020 Barleywine. I generally enjoy them but lost my supplier of harder to find Barleywines

I really like this varient they did. Only have one bottle left :(
Haha yeah I'm down to 2 now, prolly save at least one for a while if I can. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would, still wish they'd bring back the regular BC barleywine, I'm down to a couple 2014 and 2016 of those.

I saw that awhile back, how is it?
I like it. Is it $60 good? Kind of on the fence value wise IMO.

Since I like wheated bourbons it does check that box for me. There are some pretty strong cherry notes too which work well in a Manhattan however I can only have one because it's a touch on the potent side. I'm more used to cask strength around 110 proof so it's little bit of a stretch for me to drink neat but if I splash just a tiny bit of water in becomes pretty enjoyable.

Have not tried the $40 95 proof version yet.

Just started getting 3 floyds in my area. Pretty good stuff. Had a keg of Barbarian Haze I enjoyed, and I really like the Zombie Dust. This one is excellent, but the Permanent Funeral is great. I'm not a fan of the artwork, but the beer they produce is quality.

Not my pic but this is a fantastic special release by Stone. Had one in their 12-Days of IPA Mixed box and then they released this in full 6-packs and bombers.
