True story:

Remember Poison? Ok, but do you remember the drummers name? Well it was Rikki Rockett... But of course thats not his real name. You wanna know what it is?

Taken from here and other sites as well.

Richard Alan Ream, but his friends just call him Dick Ream

If I'm lying, I'm flying...

Oh man, yes. Add Skylar/Skyler to the list. I've never met anyone named Skyler/Skylar that wasn't an asshole.

I wonder if anybody has named their kid Lucifer. That seems like it'd be pretty bad if you were religious.

My cousin Skylar isn't an asshole, but he does weigh nearly 400 pounds. Not too well-adjusted.

My dad has a name that has always made me think, "WTF was grandma thinking!??!!??" ... Alvin Henry. What did he end up going by? Bud. heh

My great uncle Ade (Adolph) had to call himself "Pete" during WW2 (he was in the US military at the time.)

Edit: My brother and his wife are totally into anime, and named their daughter for one of the characters. I sh1t you not. It's not a common name anywhere in the world, either.

Is that really how it's pernounced? I haven't seen any of the movies (though read all the books) and in my mind its always been "her moine" (her as in a lady, moine as in DesMoines).

I never cared much for Agnes either.

Ágnes?
That's a pretty common name in Hungary.
It's all right, but not a casual name for an American, IMHO.

Another thread that had me LMAO.

Names you couldn't pay me to give my kids:

Male - Baron, Abe, Wallace, Brice, Bubba (I hate hate that name with a passion), Chester or Clyde.

Female - LaWanda, Marge, Madge. Nor Porsche or Mercedes which sound like stripper names.

Quick! Somebody hide this post from Tyler!

That would be fine if you're french, then it'd be pronounced 'ghee'.

Other than that, I don't think Bertha is popular any more.

Real people's names that I have known: Pepsi, Tag, Spot and Drum. The only decent one of those would be Drum. Who in god's name calls their kid Spot?

I imagine we will see a lot of kids named after cars pretty soon. I'm sure we will have to add a new peg to the personalized keychain rack. Ellen, Emily, Eric, Escalade...

Corbit
Elise

Two couples that I know named their respective children that and it pisses me off to no end. Corbit sounds like a fish, maybe a trout, and any kid named after a car just sucks. I would also avoid androgenous names. If I have a son I'll name him Hans. :D
