Yeah and they tried to pull some bullshit with me too. I literally walked out.Don't forget to charge the maximum allowed portion to a CC for points or cash back.
I called it a month ago.

I went to test drive it and loved it and so did the family, so I said let's do this. And the sales guy sat down with me then went back to get the paperwork and then the manager came back with him and was like "I know he quoted you $51k but that was for someone else in another state so this is as low as we can go without losing money" and the price was $51,509. I was like "are you serious? we agreed to $51k and I have it in email" and the manager is like "I'm sorry but he gave you incorrect information and this is what we can do" and I was like "okay well I'm leaving. i'm calling my wife right now to come back and pick me up."
So I got on my phone and told my wife and she was in disbelief and thought I was joking at first then came to get me. As I walked out I was like "if you want to do $51k, you better call me quick because once I am out of Laurel (it was 30 mins from my house) I am not coming back here". Like 10 seconds after being in the car they called me and it was my sales guy and he was apologizing about it and asked me if I could wait 5-10 minutes while he calls the general manager that he was talking to the day before who ok'd the deal and wasn't working today. I told him I may be out of Laurel by then and he said can you wait 2 minutes? I said sure.
My kids were thirsty so we just found a 7-11 close by and went there. As I was leaving the store the sales guy called me and said they can do $51k. I told him I'd be there after I leave 7-11 and we can close the deal.
As I got there was very apologetic about it all, and I truly don't think it was the sales guys fault at all and rather was the higher up. But then we went through everything and I got the deal done. The only thing that sucks is the bank I was getting my cashiers check across the street closed earlier than their recording told me when I called, so I was unable to get the down payment check. I have to go back with it this weekend.
I also never saw that other manager the whole time I was there finalizing everything.
I can't believe how long the whole process took though it was like 3 hours or so. A lot of sitting around and being bored but whatever it's done now.
Here is my knew ride though.
