Quite true, although I would prefer to debate relevant talking points as opposed to playing this cyclical game of responding to clever insults essentially based on the poster's self-proclaimed mastery of the english language.

I suppose these insults would have some merit were it not for the fact that even those who disagree with me on this forum tend to comment on my typically reasonable responses...that aidanjm is attacking my writing ability is a bit humorous, but ultimately misdirected.

I'm not really attacking you. I think the religious right exists. You seem to think it doesn't. That doesn't make much of a conversation.

I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle but as long as they don't bother me I take a live and let live approach. I don't see why people feel the need to restrict gays from having marriages or whatever else they want - it's not like heterosexual marriages are a resounding success in this country. Maybe the gays will do a better job and serve as an inspiration for heteros.

The vast majority of gay males I know would not lower themselves to the level of crossing over to "relations" with a straight male. I am not trying to be insulting, but the straight guys I have come across who have said this had a pretty (and unjustified) high opinion of themselves. With me, most guys don't make the "grade" so to speak, and that includes some gay ones as well.

I don't know why there is any issue about this, the people opposed to it are simply bigots. WE MUST ALLOW them to marry, plain and simple, anyone remember that peskey little thing called "The Bill of Rights"? Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I don't buy the silly slippery slope argument thats used to scare others into the Bush way of thinking just like he uses terror alerts to scare people into wars. Being gay is genetic, they have proof, there was a "60 Minutes" segment on this about a month ago, but I doubt any of the right actually care as long as they can restrict the rights of others and the "Liberal Media" is out to get them... So, we are OK by you if you don't have to see us, talk to us, know us, etc.? I have no intention of keeping my orientation to myself. You don't. You would have a picture of your wife/girlfriend on your desk at work. You would parade around your children if you should have any; the result of your heterosexual relationship. You would show them off, talk about them, and thereby showoff your orientation.

Are you willing to keep that to yourself? If not, then don't ask me to keep mine to myself.

I don't participate in "celetbrate hetrosexuality" parades. There is no "heterosexual day" here in Davis but there is a Gay and Lesbian day. It's as if gays want to be excessively flamboyant about their lifestyle like they have something to prove. Heterosexuals carrying their kids around is a product of nature and is natural. Gays too can adopt kids and flaunt them around and they do.
