Clear and precise requires actually having talking points...your argument for the past few posts has largely been anchored on grammar and semantics, which has nothing to do with precision or clarity...but it demonstrates an inability on your part to articulate a reasonable or suitable response.actually I'm just trying to be clear and precise in my communications. but I can't be bothered interacting with you anymore.

Care to point out my alleged sloppiness, or should I just take your word for it.It has more to do with your lack of comprehension, or rather your sloppiness in thought and language.

You are correct. P&N has a way of hardening the soul and in this case I seem to have exposed that hardening in myself. Thank you.

Thanks to all for participating in my little experiment. The experiment was to determine how much outrage there would be if I made asinine sweeping, baseless generalizations about homosexuality relative to how much outrage aidanjm caused by doing the exact same thing about Christianity in this thread.
What are the results of my experiment? That the members of this forum are much, much more willing to tolerate intolerance towards Christians than towards homosexuals.
Perhaps because we have proof that gays exist, and absolutely no proof that Christ existed? And that therefore we actually have some issue with the former, but could really care a rat's ass about the latter?

Still waiting for you to make a compelling argument that is relevant to this topic.
still waiting...your hardly fit to judge what is compelling in argument, you can barely parse a sentence
uhhh....that was already discussed however you dismissed it as 'semantics.' Unfortunately, language is based on semanticsOriginally posted by: Starbuck1975

Quite true, although I would prefer to debate relevant talking points as opposed to playing this cyclical game of responding to clever insults essentially based on the poster's self-proclaimed mastery of the english language.uhhh....that was already discussed however you dismissed it as 'semantics.' I suppose these insults would have some merit were it not for the fact that even those who disagree with me on this forum tend to comment on my typically reasonable responses...that aidanjm is attacking my writing ability is a bit humorous, but ultimately misdirected.

I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle but as long as they don't bother me I take a live and let live approach. I don't see why people feel the need to restrict gays from having marriages or whatever else they want - it's not like heterosexual marriages are a resounding success in this country. Maybe the gays will do a better job and serve as an inspiration for heteros.

First, what exactly do you mean by "bother"? Second, what makes you think a gay person would want to "bother" you? If you mean in a sexual sense, you are sorely mistaken. The vast majority of gay males I know would not lower themselves to the level of crossing over to "relations" with a straight male. I am not trying to be insulting, but the straight guys I have come across who have said this had a pretty (and unjustified) high opinion of themselves. With me, most guys don't make the "grade" so to speak, and that includes some gay ones as well.

Bother as in coming up to me and waving their rainbow flags in my face or marching around in my neighborhood twice a month. If you're proud of your orientation, fine keep it to yourself.

So, we are OK by you if you don't have to see us, talk to us, know us, etc.? I have no intention of keeping my orientation to myself. You don't. You would have a picture of your wife/girlfriend on your desk at work. You would parade around your children if you should have any; the result of your heterosexual relationship. You would show them off, talk about them, and thereby showoff your orientation.
Are you willing to keep that to yourself? If not, then don't ask me to keep mine to myself.
