The way you phrase that says that you lump President Biden in with T-rump, as a low bar to clear. This casual slur angers me. Joe Biden has done a lot of good for our country, and would have done more if the Republicans hadn't blocked him from doing so. I suggest you educate yourself.
I suggest you fuck off

I have heard from one of my buddies, that Desantis is a jerk IRL. Apparently Desantis was very rude to my friend's father when he was in the Georgia legislature.

That being said, I am willing to listen to someone new, and hear them out. If I like what they have done and what they say, then sure, I will consider. But so far I have not heard anything good about Desantis. I suppose one could argue, he is not Trump or Biden, but that would be very low bar for "good."

Anyway, we will have to see what all the choices are on the ballots, and who actually gets nominations.
One is a decent human being, the other isn't.

Don't see how that puts them at the same low bar.

Impending attack by giant seaweed is no time for sargassum.
Nice

"Travelers and doctors alike should be aware that prolonged contact with the Sargassum weed, or inhaling the hydrogen sulfide gas it gives off as it decomposes on the beach, can cause heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, vertigo, headache and skin rashes," and Florida Man.

Aren't those the same symptoms when someone has an acute case of DeSantis?

So DeSantis has claimed that the DJT hush money case is a nothing burger and that in Floriduh we have real criminal cases to investigate. This is funny because DeSantis fired a Hillsborough elected DA for indicating that he would use prosecutorial discretion in not prosecuting cases related to abortion and transgender. So when it suits him DeSantis he thinks all criminal cases should be prosecuted but some cases should be given a pass. He'll be flip fopping on the support of Ukraine also when he realizes he is on the wrong side of public opinion. I see this as a good thing in that any Democratic candidate can hammer him on his continuous change of stance on the issues.

DeSantis doesn't have the huevos to criticize Trump directly so he's doing the punk passive aggressive move.

I will agree with him on one thing we need to get moving prosecuting crime.

Homer, these type of "challenge" or "call out" threads are not usually productive, nor are they all that cool. Just mho.

I suspect our resident diehard conservatives won't throw their weight behind DeSantis until and unless he wins the primary. They're 'free' to criticize him now, but will worship him if he's the GOP candidate in 2024.

With a little distance and perspective, isnt your "Republicans" at this point reduced to someone that wants to blow government up?
Elect those that will do the most damage and watch the fire burn.
So DeSantis obviously have a resume worth considering here.

The accusation is dissenting voices are silenced. I start a thread for open discussion and all the DeSantis supporters take a pass. These are the same people who will later claim they are being silenced.

I'm suggesting their complaints are hollow. We had a Biden thread asking did he do a good job any why. Those of us who though he did have no trouble articulating why.

I won't ask in this thread anymore for someone to stand up for their positions because that doesn't seem to be possible.

However, I reserve the right to necro when someone complains that right leaning voices are muted in forums like this.

Republican presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis failed to impress British business chiefs at a high-profile London event Friday, in a tired performance described variously as “horrendous,” “low-wattage” and “like the end of an overseas trip.”...

...They said: “It felt really a bit like we were watching a state-level politician. I wouldn’t be surprised if [people in attendance] came out thinking ‘that’s not the guy’.”

I guess its easier to impress non-discerning, dim-witted followers back in Flordia. :D

Yup loser just showing how much a loser he is with these international visits. Sadly he’ll still announce in the next month when Florida congress goes on recess.

I was going to ask if you meant metaphorically blow up the government. But at this point, it's also really blowing it up too. So yes. Political arson or actual arson may as well check the box for desirable attributes for a Republican.
