Apparently there is a huge 5,000 mile wide seaweed heading to Florida which could result in a big tourism problem for Florida. That in addition to a red tide on the west coast of Florida that is killing fish and stinking up the beaches makes Florida a less than desirable tourist destination. I wonder if DeSantis will beg for federal help cleaning up the beaches. Let's blame this on DeSantis, Mother Nature striking out against an evil person. Of course I do realize this is nonsense but Democrats have got to learn how to play the blame game.

Pete looks so normal. What's wrong with this picture? Nothin'.

Conservatives didn't like the boots he was wearing. They say he was "flaunting" them. Meanwhile trump wore UGGs and junior wore boots like Pete's.

I think DeSantis is going to be like the Highlander as he progresses through the primaries. Except instead of beheading things and taking their power, he just eats the competition and it goes right to his ass. He won't be able to fit that thing through doorways before this over.

It will be interesting to see how much he can unhinge his jaw to fit Trump in there.

This is like the Negro wearing the tan suit. "We need outrage to keep our lemmings fired up"

The meatball is the modern political equivalent of, "da Kurgan!' As we all know...there can be only one.

I can think of zero reasons to ever support DeSantis for President. He's now off to Iowa to basically campaign for that office instead of actually governing here in the state of Florida. I'd like to know if Florida taxpayers are paying for the trip. Of course politicians always come up with some reason that they need to travel somewhere on the taxpayers' dime and I'm willing to bet that he is not spending any of his money for the trip. Sunshine laws were put in place to allow taxpayers to be able to know these things. Probably not the case here in the Sunshine State these days. According to current Florida law DeSantis has to resign to run for President. I'm sure he is working on getting a bill to sign to change that law. The thing is that he basically is already campaigning for President, and if he's not paying for it he may already be breaking some sort of law. BTW DeSantis in those white boots looks like the gayest person on the planet.
It seems to be something they're considering.

considering I laughed off trump as a joke candidate in 2016, my metrics for judging viable candidates is way off, but ron is a fucking asshole and absolutely nothing would get me to vote for that fascist

The monsters in America elected a guy who supported their horse shit agenda AND appeared stable and strong at the time.
Trump no longer has that image.
DeSantis never had it.
But I too underestimated just how stupid and ignorant and bigoted and selfish and self-serving the average American was at that time. After 4 years of nightmare and two years of whining, I learned a lot about the typical American. I will not make the same mistake ever again. Having said that, its pretty obvious we have at least 70 million angry stupid children in this country who also vote. Probably more than 70 million. I have no clue how to deal with them. Educating them has not worked, they flat out refuse to learn. And arguing accomplishes nothing. They have the confidence of simple people who watch propaganda all day long. You cannot reason with them as they are right now.
I am out of ideas.
And in the meantime there's a decent chance ANOTHER militant whackjob can get elected to the White House in 2024 and that genuinely scares me. Cuz frankly Americans are stupid and they never fuckin learn.

I think you'll find stormfront in another castle.
This ain't it.
I just find it funny the people who cry the loudest their voices are being muffled, attempt to have a substantive conversation on issues and get silence.

Where are you, people on the right?

You mean he wasn't wearing safety boots? Steel toes? Last time I was required to buy a pair of steel toed boots for a job I had I shopped all over and couldn't find a pair I could stand to wear (foot issues). Instead I bought a pair that looked sorta like them but didn't have protection. I still have them, 3 pairs, because they were comfortable immediately.

Anyway, it's his feet.

Edit: Besides, WTF is looking at his feet?
I had to wear those horrible things for many years on the job. Finally, I got a pair of low top carbon fiber toed shoes for my last pair, and they fit great. Still have them around. (Got reimbursed by my employer).

Yep, big red tide is landing. Wonder how warm the water is.

My unwavering support for Meatball Ron stems from his exquisite personal elegance that I can only sum up this way: Eat it, Ron!

"The chatter over DeSantis’ public engagement has also surfaced past unflattering stories about his social skills—particularly, his propensity to devour food during meetings.

“He would sit in meetings and eat in front of people,” a former DeSantis staffer told The Daily Beast, “always like a starving animal who has never eaten before… getting shit everywhere.”

Enshrined in DeSantis lore is an episode from four years ago: During a private plane trip from Tallahassee to Washington, D.C., in March of 2019, DeSantis enjoyed a chocolate pudding dessert—by eating it with three of his fingers, according to two sources familiar with the incident."

I have heard from one of my buddies, that Desantis is a jerk IRL. Apparently Desantis was very rude to my friend's father when he was in the Georgia legislature.

That being said, I am willing to listen to someone new, and hear them out. If I like what they have done and what they say, then sure, I will consider. But so far I have not heard anything good about Desantis. I suppose one could argue, he is not Trump or Biden, but that would be very low bar for "good."

Anyway, we will have to see what all the choices are on the ballots, and who actually gets nominations.

The way you phrase that says that you lump President Biden in with T-rump, as a low bar to clear. This casual slur angers me. Joe Biden has done a lot of good for our country, and would have done more if the Republicans hadn't blocked him from doing so. I suggest you educate yourself.
