It's not about conservatives or liberals. I know most people belong in the conservative and liberal sides but we need to move beyond this level of discussion. The system wants you to pick sides - conservative or liberal. That's why the system has created two parties - Democrats and Republicans. Stop falling victim to it. Most of this country are already puppets of this system of liberal vs conservative. The schools and universities churns out these people who belong in these two camps. Guess who controls the schools and universities?

The issue with Trump goes beyond anything political or governmental. The man has been immoral, ignorant, arrogant, and possibly and probably totally corrupt for many years. He's brought up the birther BS right after Obama was selected President. It's very sad that people would fall for people like Trump. These people voting for Trump probably claim to belong to a certain religion. Yet, their candidate talks about grabbing women, about Muslims, about this or that group. There is zero religiousness to this man. There is zero ethics to this man. He plays the role of an opportunist very well - maybe because he has experience acting.

People like Trump getting elected shows you how much society has fallen. I think this is just the start, unfortunately.

I don't know if conservatives were played for fools but I do know for certain liberals have been acting like fools since the election results were known.
'Conservatives' have been acting like fools since 2008, ranting and blaming every stubbed toe on the 'Kenyan-born Socialist Muslim President.' And that's why we now get Trump, the corrupt amoral con man. Enjoy.

From reading threads like this you get the impression that Trump is the worst President in the history of the United States, who hasn't even been sworn in or served 10 minutes as President.

Yall are worse than the neo-cons when President Obama won his first term.

This was the election where one half of America was pissed off and determined to piss off the other half.. and succeeded.

No, one quarter pissed off another quarter while half just shrugged their shoulders and said I've got shopping to do on that day.
Sad but true :(

But voting is like every other choice in this life. Not choosing is still a choice, and you still have to live with it.

Keep falling victim to the Republican vs Democrat mentality. The rulers of this country are very happy with you.

People so far up thier party's ass will never realize the reason why Trump was elected. Had the establishment not rigged the primaries for Hillary... I truly think Bernie Sanders would have beat Trump. Hillary was bought and owned by George Soros and others ... Sanders was not. Maybe people finally woke up to the realization of what both republican and democratic career politicians really are and who they really serve.

There's really no need to keep up the concern trolling anymore.

Everyone on the left and the right always gets suckered during elections, unless they are truly paying attention.

The left has been suckered into thinking Trump is a Nazi / Far right demagogue. The reason DNC pushes this narrative is that he is grabbing a big part of their voter base. He is going to keep on co-opting their base too, and I think he will be snagging an ever increasing part of their African-American and Latino base.

Doesn't fit your narrative? Perhaps you haven't been paying attention.

Reality is that he is an old-school liberal. I knew this already, as did many who voted for him.

Seems rather obvious he's co-opting some non-college whites with aggressive racial resentment and promises of massive handouts--all entirely typical of fascist ideology, for people with some college education at least.

Trump is seemingly going back on just about every promise he made. Chief among them, after assuring the electorate that he will rock the establishment in Washington it now looks like, if his appointments are any indication, that he is going to be an even bigger proponent of the monied establishment than Hillary would have been.

Were Conservatives suckered?

A good plurality of them knew all along he wasn't serious, but didn't have the intellectual honesty to stop propagating the message because it was effective on the lowest info/denominator voters. That's why they're hardly surprised at the turn of events, and have already started offering excuses before he's even in office.

They never gave a shit about fiscal responsibility or "poor white people" because for the most part they're the middle class looking to maximize their own entitlements. As long as Trump sends that trillion dollar spending plan their way, they'll do whatever it takes for him.

If anything liberals were more suckered by these folks, thinking they were good people simply too dumb to figure the truth, when they just don't care. Of course even after it's obvious what went on, a good plurality of democrats are still looking for ways to avoid displeasing them in the future. In that sense conservatives tend to be correct that liberals are low T cucks destined to keep losing at the prisoner's dilemma.

What you see is what you get with Mr. Trump so if you cannot discern that he was the most liberal candidate of all in this election then I would suggest that you find a new optometrist.

Democrats have obviously been co-opting blacks with aggressive racial resentment using promises of massive handouts--all entirely typical of fascist ideology, for people with some college education at least.

The only "peaceful" protesters were the people that went to the polls on Nov. the 8th and voted for Donald Trump.

Yeh, and that's reflected in his choice of running mate & cabinet members, right?

It sure is plus is present in other choices. If you are a bible beater then read Hosea 4:6, consider that God wants you to use critical thinking skills and then look at his pick for education who opposes the goals of common core.
The standards are:

  1. Research and evidence based
  2. Clear, understandable, and consistent
  3. Aligned with college and career expectations
  4. Based on rigorous content and the application of knowledge through higher-order thinking skills
  5. Built upon the strengths and lessons of current state standards
  6. Informed by other top-performing countries to prepare all students for success in our global economy and society
Continued adherence to this would mean that the Republicans would experience a shrinkage in their base. College educated people with critical thinking skills refuse to go along with the junk they're pedaling and so do I. Even Jesus said in Mark 3:25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Our country needs a unified standard of education and having lived all over and going to school in different states I can tell you that the curriculum was not even close to the same. The most advanced that I encountered was taught by the Philadelphia, PA school district and my high school star classes were the equivalent of sophomore college level. To undo this unification process is to make America stupid again.

That is an odd answer for a question whether alleged Trump's liberalness is reflected on his selection of high level officials.
