I'm unhappy that he's putting the far right establishment in power, but I suppose that's the most responsible way he could represent the interest of his voters who actually care about politics. He sure doesn't seem to. My unhappiness mostly stems from the unilateral power the right is going to have. I had no belief he would deliver on his campaign promises (largely because he lacks the power anyway), but I was hopeful he'd pose a potential threat to republicans doing whatever they want. Even if it's an unpredictable threat, impetus to moderate or seek bipartisan support for policy is needed.

No. I think the majority knew what they were getting. Lesser of two evils, and the only hope. Clearly not an ideal candidate, but still leagues better than Hillary.

Chief among them, after assuring the electorate that he will rock the establishment in Washington it now looks like, if his appointments are any indication, that he is going to be an even bigger proponent of the monied establishment than Hillary would have been.
Who could he have appointed that would negate your assertion?

All of the quotes below are attributed to Barack Obama. Several of these Obama could have done with the wave of a pen. Others he had opportunity with a Dem controlled congress.

I don't see too many people here whining about Obama's broken campaign promises.

Because there's a difference between having trouble delivering on a promise and making it clear that you never intended to live up to that promise in the first place.

Obama's broken promises are problematic, but he actually had at least some vague intention to do these things (Guantanamo Bay in particular was thwarted by an obstructionist Congress). Trump? He's going back on key claims less than a month after winning the election, and he doesn't have the excuse of political opposition -- he's not even close to getting into office. This is an outright confirmation that he was lying about some policies and values solely to get into office, and he's shedding all pretence now that his position appears secure.

Trump has so far done the MOST of any president not even in office yet...

...since Nixon ordered John Kerry into Vietnam in Christmas 1968.

Were Conservatives suckered?

Who aren't "played for fools" each election?

Hillary got 2M more votes than Trump. The majority knew what they wanted, and it wasn't Trump.

I bet you stood around the Madonna concert for hours with you pants down to your knees waiting for your blowjob too? Sorry, but your stupid and gullible meters are pegged.

Yes we already know his gullible voters ate up what he stated to The Washington Post, which is just reporting reality. I'm sorry you're so easily duped, my condolences to you and your family.

Why condolences? You are encouraging him to breed?

Yes. It's just going to take awhile for most of them to accept it.

Bernie supporters have been telling Trump supporters for the last 18 months that there was only one real anti-establishment candidate, and so far Trump is confirming that.

Likely due to them recalling the GOP's obstructive role during those heady days. A contingent of big pharma paid Dems didn't help. You should read up on it all someday, crazy shit.

Is it possible to appoint both types of people? I mean, he is appointing more than one person you know.

Nice attempt at deflection, but if you read that list again as well as what I stated - most of those Obama promises were nothing more than a signature from him.

He did not need Congress to release detainees in Guantanamo.

He did not (and does not) need Congress to change regulations on medicine (witness how he recently created 574 new regulations in one day without congress).

He did not need Congress to stop the NSA from spying on citizens.

None of these things happened - in fact, they've mostly gotten worse. And he had direct control of all of them.

Try again.

Do you mean the promises he actually made, such as his contract with America, or the huge list of "promises" that the media and Democrats are trying to ascribe to him?
What is the content of such contract? I would be willing to respect your protest if you could name just one of Trump's actual promises. Just one.
