My point isn't that it is a crappy car, it's that it's "overclockability" is moot when the initial price is so high. It was probably expensive because Toyota is tooled up for FWD. When they build a proper RWD machine it's gonna cost. Seems a shame to try an eek so much from a small engine. I prefer the low tech, brute strength of a V8. It's the cheaper way to go in this neck of the woods and gets the job done pretty effortlessly.

He's trying to say that it's more expensive for Toyota to produce a RWD Supra platform, because almost all of their vehicle platforms are tooled up for FWD. It's more cost effective to produce RWD platforms when you're set up for RWD, not FWD...
