Yep, thought all 12 were pretty basic. I can see someone missing maybe one or two (the electron one and the antibiotics one) but beyond that...I don't know how anyone could not know the rest.

I wouldn't be too angry if anyone got these wrong. These are mostly trivia questions. The only one that seemed a little stupid was if someone though lasers use sound waves, but even that isn't too bad. It's not like the questions is asking about magic powers or anything.

An electron is part of an atom. Remember that, and you should be able to figure out the logical progression of component vs system. (Remember the Bohr model of an atom?)

I knew the tsunamis one because I watched this stupid thing on Discovery about whether or not some imaginary ship would survive a hypothetical tsunami caused by earthquakes. Stupidest show in the world, but at least I learned something.

goddamn astronomers simply voting pluto out. THERE ARE NINE PLANETS!

The problem with keeping Pluto in is that if you do you would need to allow in all the other trans-neptunium objects of Pluto's size. That means we would likely be looking at not nine but 12,13 or perhaps 20+ planets which even the most conservative of scientists have trouble accepting. Sad to see Pluto go but it fits well with our growing understanding of solar system dynamics and evolution.
