Well this is a bit unsettling...

I'm terrible at science and even I got 12/12.

I know very basic science, but few specifics. I'd consider those all very basic. Well, I helped bring up the average for the high school and less boys :^D

Yep, thought all 12 were pretty basic. I can see someone missing maybe one or two (the electron one and the antibiotics one) but beyond that...I don't know how anyone could not know the rest.

12/12 - Easy questions

HTF do people get stuck on electrons vs atoms?

Because I learned it once in chemistry 16 years ago and never had to remember it let alone use it a fucking time since?

Me too! I'm so happy! :D :D

I wouldn't be too angry if anyone got these wrong. These are mostly trivia questions. The only one that seemed a little stupid was if someone though lasers use sound waves, but even that isn't too bad. It's not like the questions is asking about magic powers or anything.

I'm contacting them to tell them their answers are wrong....
Well technically water wasn't discovered recently on Mars - they've known it's there for a long time, quite frozen. Phoenix just happened to get a close-up look at some ice.

An electron is part of an atom. Remember that, and you should be able to figure out the logical progression of component vs system. (Remember the Bohr model of an atom?;))

12/12, absurdly easy quiz. you could have known most of the answer, at least to get in the range of 8-9, just by listening to the news long enough.

I knew the tsunamis one because I watched this stupid thing on Discovery about whether or not some imaginary ship would survive a hypothetical tsunami caused by earthquakes. Stupidest show in the world, but at least I learned something.

goddamn astronomers simply voting pluto out. THERE ARE NINE PLANETS!

The problem with keeping Pluto in is that if you do you would need to allow in all the other trans-neptunium objects of Pluto's size. That means we would likely be looking at not nine but 12,13 or perhaps 20+ planets which even the most conservative of scientists have trouble accepting. Sad to see Pluto go but it fits well with our growing understanding of solar system dynamics and evolution.
