You don't have to worry though right? I mean, if anything bad happens, the police will be right there when it happens to protect you. Heck, they'll be there before it happens. So no worries!

The point is no one needs to be restricting my purchasing decisions. No one. Unless it's something so insane, like a RPG, surface to air missle, etc., they can butt the F out. This is akin to telling gays they can't sleep together because the Gov. doesn't want them to. Who's F'ing business is it of the Gov. to directly interfere in our lives like that?

That's the whole problem. That's what YOU and many people think of an assault rifle.

By a HUGE margin the "assault rifles" targeted are just normal semi-automatic (as almost all guns are) rifles that happen to look scary. There is nothing special about them other than the look.
