Remember, every dad thinks his little girl is special. He thinks she's responsible and smart and won't do anything he doesn't want her to do. Remember all the girls from high school who didn't let anyone get a single base farther than daddy allowed them to?

Me either.

lol nope, i never thought that of her. hormones work both ways and my high school years are full of memories of it.

At the end of the day you have to trust your little girl and trust the way you and your wife raised her.

Ahh, I remember when I was 17 and was hanging out with this 15 year old freshman. She was this taller asian girl with wide hips and a great rack for being 15. Her parents finally went out of town and we did it like rabbits. So. Damn. Glorious.

Tell her to use protection.

A friend of mine insists that the boys who date his daughters come in and visit for a little while, before they go out. His parting advice is "Whatever you do to her, I'm going to do to you."

AFAIK, he's never had to do anything.

not sure a grown man in this day and age should be insinuating he's going to fuck an underage boy, just saying.

So when is ok for someone's daughter to have sex?

Am I the only person annoyed by the overprotective father stereotype?

I've never met anybody like that in real life, and if I did, I'd think they were a little crazy.

I think he was implying that if he hurts the girl or does something uncomfortable (or she is uncomfortable with) then will make it uncomfortable for him.

er I suppose, but that would be completely out of context with this thread's subject matter.

Are you saying I'm overprotective?

I've already set this in motion. Meeting the boy, not doing something to him...yet.

Nowadays you worry about all of them regardless of gender. ;)

Nah, i don't worry about my 16 year old boy. He's too much like most ATOT posters. So, I know he won't be getting laid anytime soon.

No. Not unless you do almost any of the things mentioned in this thread.

Answering the door with a gun, threatening to either kill/have sex with the guy (both have been insinuated), throwing on a chastity belt, etc.

We just had this conversation at lunch among a bunch of teachers who have children. I was the only one without daughters. Me: "When I gave my sons 'the talk', it was about 45 seconds long. Son, always wear a condom. If she tells you it's all right, because she's on the pill, wear a condom. Everyone makes mistakes. And, it's the only way you can avoid picking up something. Plus, you definitely don't want to pick up any diseases. If a girl has an STD, she's just as likely to lie to you to get even for whatever guy gave it to her. If you're ever too embarrassed, let us know and your mom or I will buy the condoms for you." There were times when I was watching the grocery belt and noticed that in among the shampoo & everything else, there was a 10 pack of Trojans. I'd think, "how'd that get in there?" then deep down inside, I'd be grinning to myself. Kind of a "way to go son" though I wouldn't say that out loud to him.

God, I'm glad I didn't have daughters!! Good Luck, CPA!

Some boy has asked my 15-year old daughter out on a date.

As a father of three teenaged girls, the first date was not the thing I feared most. The thing I feared most presumably would come after one or more dates. But you never know.
