I think they're great... on crackers with a little chees on the side... Add an apple, small salad, and you have a perfect lunch.

My dad used to eat canned sardines, so I kind of grew up with them and they're no big deal... but even people my age think they're totally gross...

What's interesting is no one has a problem with tuna in a can, but sardines, my wife of ten years STILL won't even try them... :)

...wait a minute, I'm not young!

You're wrong about the last part. The smell of canned tuna disgusts me, from literally a block away. I know a couple others who are the same way.

also, growing up we used to eat cow tongue. Yes that's right, cow tongue, cooked and then eaten cold, sliced thin in a sandwich. But then I grew up on a farm and we butchered our own animals. Bulk beef anyone?

Cottage cheese and apple sauce mixed.

Looks nasty but it's really good. My grandmother got me into the habit.

I worked in a deli many years ago, tongue is actually very good. It's a bit disturbing to see the whole thing in the package though.. just a 12-15 inch whole tongue about as fat as your upper arm!

I had tongue once. Its too chewy for me but it tastes like any other part of the cow.

I like sardines, but for canned seafood I prefer Fried Dace with Black Beans over rice.

Mushrooms. I find it real hard to find anyone that likes them as much as I do.

I drink the tuna juice out of a can before I eat the tuna.

I've showed this to tons of people, and probably 50% of them started doing it after watching me.

Soggy white rice with sunny-side up eggs that are soaked in soy sauce. It's an Asian (I think fillipino?) dish, but it's damn good. No one ever has the guts to taste it.

I love liver. Chicken liver, beef liver, goose liver patte....good stuff. I admit it's an aquired taste and the meat's iron content makes it taste a bit like sucking on a penny, but I just like it for some reason.
ate that as a kid too.
