Weird things you eat, that no one else seems to?

Of about twenty people I've asked in the past couple of weeks only two or so eat canned sardines.

I think they're great... on crackers with a little chees on the side... Add an apple, small salad, and you have a perfect lunch.

My dad used to eat canned sardines, so I kind of grew up with them and they're no big deal... but even people my age think they're totally gross...

What's interesting is no one has a problem with tuna in a can, but sardines, my wife of ten years STILL won't even try them... 🙂

~edit

...wait a minute, I'm not young!

I prefer them in a mustard sauce. eaten on saltines.

That, ketchup, shrimp sauce, or massive amounts of salt is how my Dad would eat 'em.

I like a whole wheat or multi-grain cracker with a bit of milled sea-salt or a dash of a good hot sauce becuse I have delusions of respectability.

Scrapple...mmmmm

I just can't abide organs... Damn my comparatively wealthy parents. They were raised on livers, kidneys and brains but they wanted to 'do better' by us, so I never ate it growing up and now I just can't do it...

Probably would if I was real hungry though.

(I know all scrapple isn't made with offal, but if you can't do it traditionally, why do it at all?.. might as well make a meatloaf at that point)

canned sardines, bulls testicles, horse, whale, snake, rats, type of larva, reindeer, bear, snails, sea urchins, etc... ive literally eaten them all and more

Oh, I assure you - if it wasn't something I had grown up eating, there is no way in hell I'd taste it now. The name alone pretty much describes its ingredients 😉

Gefilte fish, the kind that come in the huge jar suspended in the jelly..delicious!

Ick, I can't stand the stuff.

I guess the only weird thing I eat are my fries with mustard instead of catchup.

I love liver. Chicken liver, beef liver, goose liver patte....good stuff. I admit it's an aquired taste and the meat's iron content makes it taste a bit like sucking on a penny, but I just like it for some reason.
