Ok guys listen, I really appreciate the concern but listen, I am not seeing a GP about this, I am seeing a specialist in this field. (Check the links in the OP) Besides the dietary specialist, I am seeing an endocrinologist, and lifting twice a week with a trainer, while swimming on the off days. I understand what you guys are saying about yo-yo diets, but that?s not what happens with this program... I mean you can gain weight back, but you don't just go back to eating the way you did before. There are progressive steps that reintroduce food thoughtfully and carefully...

I really do appreciate the support and concern, but honestly guys I did a lot of research and put a lot of thought into this. It is much better for me then gastric bypass.

Ah ok, good to hear you are seeing a specialist. Sorry I missed that important part. Kudos on your accomplishments thus far. Keep up the effort and have a safe and healthy new year.

For the avg person without dr supervision its not good to lose 2lbs per week, but for those people that are extremely large, they can lose a lot of weight. If you have more than 60 lbs to lose you can lose a lot of weight in the first two to three weeks.

Good job :) I however, am on the other end of the spectrum--trying to gain weight. You still weigh over 3 times as much as me, lol. Keep up the good work! I hope you meet your goal

Hope everything works out, during the summer between junior high and high school I lost 40-50 pounds by working out everyday and just eating a healthier overall diet, as you already know it takes time and I hope everything works out for you and you are able to keep this weight off.

I think you're right to do this rather than a bypass. Besides the risk of surgical complications, the reality of living the rest of your life with a thimble for a stomach seems like a huge PITA.

For the peanut gallery, if you can't be bothered to look at the jpgs of his plan or read any of his responses, you probably wouldn't be interesting in googling "PSMF" and educating yourself either. This diet is not for people with 30 pounds to lose, it's for the morbidly obese. jakedeez has a long way to go before his body starts going into "starvation mode," a term that everybody throws around, whatever that really is. When the time comes and he's closer to goal weight and legitimately getting to a point where loss of lean mass is a concern, they'll transition him off of the diet, as he has said about 15 times so far.

I think you'd be better off switching the flax seed oil for coconut oil. Coconut oil is almost entirely medium chain fatty acids and will be used up in an energy burst that also speeds up the metabolism. It's also the oil with the lowest tendency to create free radicals.

It's not actually Flax Seed Oil, its straight flax seeds.

Just checked out the pics. You can really see a big difference around your face neck and shoulders. Good work! Keep it up.

Hi .. my name is Miestrella... I just joined the forum yesterday (a friend brought me to the groups...)

Anyhow I was reading ur posts on weight loss... good job so far.... I too and losing weight. Dill Pickles are a good source to stop cravings for sweets and such. The way i fix them so that i dont eat a whole jar in a day (which i have been known to do in the past ... )

I take the pickles and slice them into Chips (by doing this .. u eat less even though ur body thinks u are eating more) ... it kinda makes u feel like you are eating more due to the hand to mouth movement happening more freq.

Good luck on ur goal...

While your progress in numbers is VERY impressive, I honestly dont see much difference in your photos. Perhaps I'm not as astute as most folks around here.
46 pounds is excellent, and will probably give your heart a major break too.


Am looking forward to pics when you get under 300!
