lol you're literally proving his point.

Someone is wise and you like them when they parrot your point of view on an issue.

Someone is an idiot asshole when their opinion starts to differ from you.

You literally just described your cognitive dissonance. Congratulations!

It's like you are all Form and no Substance.

Competition is hate. This is a fact that successful people in a competitive system cannot see. And the reason is very simple. All hate is learned first as a result of being hated oneself as a child. The success of the human race is based on our evolutionary adaption for cooperation. Thus in order to succeed in a competitive society that genetic capacity must be repressed.

Thus parents greatest fear becomes that their offspring will fail and great effort will be placed on insuring this doesn't happen. They will mold their kids to conform to all standards that are demanded for competitive success especially heartlessness and indifference to the success of others and any manifestation of the child's natural humanity will be violently discouraged. This will be done in the accompaniment of verbal put downs. In this way we learn that words can kill and that we can destroy others by turning them into stereotypes.

The result is that those who most successfully adapt and succeed at competition will be those most proud of their inhumanity, of their success at dominating others via humiliating them. The successful, those whose personal pride in achievement is based on their ability to suppress their natural humanity, will enjoy the respect and acclaim of those who envy their success and tell themselves they are similarly worthy because they are just like them.

Right now, I have heard, that 25% of our society, Christian white males, control 86% of the nations power positions and as they also flatter themselves, their egos, on the notion this success is God given and richly deserved, they will tend to do anything at all, being the most successful at the lose of their true humanity, including lying and cheating and the use of violence to keep that power.

Thus today we face a faction of American society that we call the Republican party, the most successfully sick of our population, who, out of fear of personal loss and selfish greed, will destroy our egalitarian society. They will do anything to prevent change.

Sadly, there are many who would reverse this simply by turning the tables supplanting one form of evil with another.

This is why humanity will only see all of as worthy if we start caring for each other by awakening to what the real enemy is, our own self hate, and practice the psychological arts of healing.

What I haven't seen is what the symptoms of COVID would be for someone that's vaccinated. I got the J&J so I should be 85% protected with 100% protection against death from COVID. Now if I fall in that 15% what can I expect? If wearing a mask will prevent me from suffering flu like symptoms for a week, that's worthwhile for me. I can keep wearing the mask until the active cases get low.

Most likely it'll be a mild fever or cough if you're in the symptomatic group.

No. You literally just outed yourself as someone not capable of thinking for yourself, needs others to do it for you, follow an "icon".
Sad.

Somewhere between no symptoms and not dead. Most are very mild symptoms, but I believe some where hospitalized.

MTG doubles down on comparing mask requirements with the Holocaust.

"any rational Jewish person" doesn't like mask and vaccine mandates.

She says. Well, I'm glad she's the new arbiter of what "rational" people think. Where would the Jews be without her?

The same as the rest of us, better off.

Without people of her political persuasion, there'd probably be a few million more of 'em.

I think the droplet thinking is going to be rethought, new research shows the old "not airborne over 5 microns" was bogus and based on misapplied research on TB.

This article was brilliant. Full of information and understanding. Along with insights into how the medical community operations included decades old presumptions that COVID blew wide open. COVID has proven the lie of the medical community's understanding of disease transmission. Diseases can be airborne, much more so than anyone knew before. New measures can and should be taken to combat deadly disease.

Keeping your hands clean is no longer good enough, in a civil society that values life. More will be asked of us in the years ahead.

Come on man. So if someone ignores a mandate, the mandate is wrong? What?
If the mandate ISN'T wrong, but people ignore it...why would they do that?

Because they are self-centered, egotistical, childish fuckheads who give no shits about endangering their fellow humans?

Yeah, bingo.

Yes that is correct. That doesnt make the mandate wrong though.

Do you have a link to that number somewhere? I only see 2019-20 numbers on the CDC website.

Start here. Lots of data:

_________

We've had recent years of as high as 80k deaths. We didn't enact a mask mandate then tho.

The science and outcome supports wearing a mask, perhaps seasonally in certain locations, but as mandated policy it should be ending unless we are going to rewrite the rules.

I think the blue areas are going to have a challenge winding the masks down, in part due to anti-Trump and anti-vax reactionary sentiments.

No one is telling you not to wear a mask. We sincerely don't care if you want to wear a mask or not for the rest of eternity.

Would you make the following statement?
"No one is telling you not to wash your hands."

Would you sincerely not care if the food worker leaves the restroom without following basic hygiene?
Do you think it is their body, their decision? Or do you think it is the duty of our fellow humans to be responsible for our actions and not harm one another?

Which is why CDC dropped the mask mandate recommendation. No reason to have a mandate if you have a readily available option to avoid a potentially fatal disease and overall vaccination rate is high (and disease burden falling to low levels.)

B-B-B-But but but but what about my random one in a billion half brother cousin that is vulnerable and can't take the vaccine?! Everyone should still wear masks because of the .0001%! How dare you!

If we're not close to the end game now, I'd like to know how people that are upset about this think how CDC got it wrong and what their metrics would be.

Overall I think the CDC has been pretty good throughout the pandemic and as the science evolved.

Thats a pretty good analogy.
