Yep. We don't allow people to do anything they want that might harm others in public--juggling chainsaws on a sidewalk, driving drunk, etc. I see the masks as similar. The idea that people can do (or say) anything they want is bs. The idea that enforcing masks is some government slide toward authoritarian lockdown is completely laughable.

The reason to enforce wearing them is to minimize how much infected people can infect more people. That's it. They aren't some assault on freedom, or doctors training us to live in fear or whatever nonsense people spout. they are based on our best knowledge at the time, which isn't perfect.

It's pretty damn simple, and harmless to almost everyone. And it caused a huge chunk of the population to act like utter children.

If the government can require people to wear shirts and pants they can require them to wear masks. It is that simple.

You are a liar
Mindless, you are your own cult. And a fool to boot. You must live in some kind of shithole. I don't know what else could make you so resolute in being a nincompoop.

They can require you to wear glasses too. And seat belts.

I posted here end of last summer my idea that I didn't want to get a flu shot last fall even though my doctor said I should:

1. I didn't want to take the chance of getting exposed to covid-19 at my HMO's facilities.

2. I figured the measures I was taking (and the public too, actually) would make my chance of being exposed to flu really really small.

I posted this to my doctor too. Nobody voiced approval of my thought process. Last time I have been sick in any way was some upper respiratory infection in November 2019. Looks like I was the smarty.

Politicians and leftwing media, and general libtard individuals now for some reason say not to believe the science. Previously it was to believe the science - but now when it doesn't jive with their narrative, they say it's not correct.

Lets go through the timeline now shall we?

1) Initial message from CDC to not wear a mask
2) Ok nevermind, they clarify and say "well, you should wear a mask, but don't buy them! Frontline workers need them!"

3) Masks are there only to stop yourself from spreading the virus, not self-protection.
4) Ok nevermind it's for self-protection too.

5) Masks are essentially pointless unless they are at minimal surgeons masks, and ideally N95.
6) Ok nevermind cloth masks are helpful too

7) There is no point in wearing multiple masks, and if anything can result in higher chances of catching the virus
8) Ok nevermind, multiple masks helps protect you even more. Next up, wear 2 helmets when riding a motorcycle for extra protection!

9) "LISTEN TO and FOLLOW the CDC Guidance!"
10) Ok nevermind, now that they say you don't need to wear a mask after vaccination they clearly don't know what they are talking about.

No one is telling you not to wear a mask. We sincerely don't care if you want to wear a mask or not for the rest of eternity.

It's literally a cult-like following of media idiots to the likes of Rachel Maddow that are outraged that science doesn't agree with their PC Policing of telling people to put on masks now. What a sad reality we live in. It's basically the children that went to school loving the power-trip they got of being a hallway monitors and wanting to apply it to the real working world lol

Not dying is now a "cult"? :D

Marjorie Taylor Greene compares having to wear a mask with Jews having to wear a yellow star during the Holocaust.

Anti-science is a mental disease. That "woman" desecrates the halls of Congress.

According to a CNN survey of members of Congress, 92% of Senate Republicans say they are vaccinated, but only 44.8% of House Republicans would say if they have received the necessary shots. More than 100 Republicans in the House still won't disclose their vaccine status.

The same survey also found that all Democrats in both the House and Senate are fully vaccinated.
So! It's very very clear that the Republican_party is THE ANTI-SCIENCE PARTY!

1) people who are anti-mask are probably also anti-vax
2) no easy way to verify someone's vaccinated
3) wearing a mask is a trivial issue

So: policy in place to keep wearing masks until vaccination rates are higher and cases are lower.

Besides, he's already said that CA is pretty much moving to no/minimal restrictions in less than a month.

This is not a big deal, and certainly not "denying the science".

Fuck this is not hard.

It is amazing to me how insane conservatives have gone over a mandate that is essentially the absolute smallest inconvenience I can even think of.

Also, anyone saying California is not following the science is stupid or a liar. As you mentioned, since there’s no way to know who is vaccinated or not there’s nothing inconsistent between the CDC saying masks are not necessary for vaccinated people and the state requiring them for everyone.

Dore has turned into an imbecile.

lol you're literally proving his point.

Someone is wise and you like them when they parrot your point of view on an issue.

Someone is an idiot asshole when their opinion starts to differ from you.

You literally just described your cognitive dissonance. Congratulations!

He's not an idiot because he disagrees with people, he's an idiot because his point is stupid and obviously wrong to anyone who thinks about it for ten seconds.
