Sounds like a deal. Really nice place by the way. Congrats!
Thanks!
I agree on the lighting by the way, but it seems to work ok for the place. That ceiling fan on the other hand... D:

Congrats! Looks very nice, especially the inside. I'm really jealous of all that cabinet space in the kitchen!
Interesting that the garage is underneath. Is it the full size of the house? Also, how tall is the ceiling in it?
looks great, looks like they updated the kitchen and stuff. good for you, congrats.
I'd say open a cc at Home depot you will be buying a lot of stuff from there.
Well, I've had to do that in pre-owned houses I have bought as well. In fact the current house I live in when I bought it, it was 5 years old at the time. I ripped out all the crappy shelving and cabinets in the garage, as well as repaint the entire inside and outside of the house. Then again, I'm not really into lime green exteriors and purple/red/black interior colors
Woohoo!
Fortunately we got them down about 16.5K from asking because it was a bit overpriced.
Anyway, just kind of excited. Going to be so freaking busy between now and the moving day! D:
Woohoo indeed! :awe:
We? Is there other news you'd like to share? Did you . . . gulp . . . get re-married? Or have you simply found a sane, smart and sexy woman with which to co-exist, legal status to be determined (or not) at some later date?![]()
I think in Canada you MUST get a contractor for Gas. No DIY. Hope your freind saves you money. Mine wanted $3000 to run a line and I am an general contractor so I get deals from subs, I did it for $300.
Yeah pretty sure too, and I'm not even sure if gas stoves are legal here but it probably goes by province if they're not. Never seen one in any home here unless it's a camper or cottage. So something to look into before doing the purchase.
If your house already has natural gas for the furnace, then it's really not too bad of a job - or, it's a major pita. Depends on the route the pipes have to take. With a basement at my old house, I was able to put in a new line to one of those ventless area heaters. It took me 2 or 3 hours, tops, including installation of the heater. But, another time, I put in a gas line to an upstairs "bedroom" that we converted into a laundry room. That was a major pita to do & took better than a day to finish, plus had to rip up flooring in the upstairs, etc.Definitely legal as I've seen them in many other places I was looking at, plus I have one where I currently live. Now, setting up a new line could be a wholly different ball of worms.

I have to offer some sort of sacrifice too. :hmm:

congrats KT, bout time you moved out of the basement
where in canada? london, on? passed through it once...western on uni i believe it was. nice little town
Does oldsmoboat have you on speed dial as well? Dayum.
Nice place, congrats! Basement would have been nice but sounds like the right house at the right price.
Looks like a nice house! No picture of the master bedroom though?!?
Kitchen looks spacious and plenty of storage. That was definitely something i looked for in my house. Had thanksgiving at my place last year and it was nice having enough room for my mom, grandmother, sister-in-law and I to all be in the kitchen doing things.
after redoing floors/baseboards at my place last year, I now notice baseboards at other houses...those look awesome...how tall are they?
