This isn't just stupid, this shows an arrogant attitude "you better keep your filthy doors away"... "i park this way so idiots will not ding my car"... well... defend him all you want... it is just stupid...

If i go somewhere and some a-hole has parked like that, i would see to it that he would not be able to drive away from there without talking to me (yes, i have been in that situation, and yes, in the end that hot stunna got his nose busted)...

Dude - I'm just razzin' you - chill out. This is just how AT has become the past year or so - kinda hostile on the surface, but no one really means it.

Thick skin is the #1 thing to have here - and if you post a pic of or opinion about any of the following:

Car
House
Wife/spouse/GF/BF
Celebrity
Computer
Home Theater
pet
Dubya


Problem here is that you were technically parked wrong - and while you probably did it out of pride for your new car, it comes across to many as arrogance. The reason the cop likely ticketed you was most likely that the park itself requests that they do - due to past parking problems.

Take the good advice about door ding prevention in here and be happy. Enjoy the new car. And don't take AT seriuosly.

I drive a 1998 Cavalier. Put over 100,000 km/s on it and never had a problem (except a brake change that wasn't even neccessary, but was given to me for free from Midas). I wouldn't ditch on any car since they get you around faster that a POS bus. Am I embarrased by my car? Hell no! I love it. I made it look sporty and it stands out. I don't park like an idiot nor I'm one of the kids who shows off all the time.
So if you think owners of Cavaliers should be embarrased, than you people never owned any cars before. Though you've watched too many sport cars movies.

I never raced nor did something foolish. I never got a ticket in my 4 year driving experience nor I was ever pulled by cops for whatever reason. I'm a good driver.
