Sometimes it's the only game in town.
It's all we can get for broadband.
When we moved here, I had comcast move our service from the old place to here. I owned my own modem.
They couldn't use my modem because the person who "activates/validates" it was off and it was Friday. So I had to use their modem. They wouldn't waive the $5 a month rental so I wnet with it to get service.
Next week came and I installed my modem and called them. They set it up and sent me a return label and box for the modem.
Six months later, they were still charging me for it. I was dreading calling them because their CS sucks so hard. I did and they fixed it without even an argument.
I was shocked. While on the phone with them I ordered two digital adapters that I need since the changed their service. They told me it would take a week to get the boxes. The next day, there was a box on my doorstep.
I was ready to sing their praises.
I installed the units and called to actiavte them. The voice prompt said that they were already activated and hung up on me. I had to call back to try to get them to work.
I get a CS agent and she ends up telling me that they sent the wrong units. She'll send out the right ones and a label.
I come back out to get online and while the rep was activating the wrong boxes, she shut off my internet. I couldn't get through that night and had to wait till the next day.
I can't wait for another broadband service to become available.
