I just can't understand irrational hate for the best ISP in the country. THEY are the ones making the most upgrades and improvements moving 80% of their customers to DOCSIS 3.0. You simply can't beat their performance for the price.

Jeez. Try taking the Comcast dick out of your mouth. They're a pretty shitty company. Everyone knows this.

Name just one MSO that has a higher percentage of docsis 3.0 rolled out. You can't. You probably can't even name a SSO with this much 3.0 coverage.
Take all the DOCSIS 3.0 you want, when you are piling on 500 customers all on the same bus, it doesn't make a lick of difference, there will STILL be significant lows during busy times (One report that I read put the highs at about 37 mbps and the lows way down to 3 IIRC).

Couple that with throttling issues, shady bandwidth definitions, and billing policies that would make any bank look twice, and you've got a disaster.

The only reason comcast does as well as it does is because it is the only option in most cases.

Whats truly ironic is that in most cases, cable internet and your DOCSIS 3.0 is going to be made pretty much obsolete by current FTTH and FTTP operations. Lots of rural telcos are investing quite a bit of money to get a fiber infrastructure up, in a couple of years, It will most likely be the standard. (Goodbye copper medium, and good riddance)

BTW, to answer your original question. GSI (an alaska based cable provider) was pretty much at the forefront of DOCSIS 3.0 adaptation, and IIRC has pretty much switched their entire network over to it.
