Wow.

Also Keith, what do you mean by "lesser-knowns"? :p The Watchemn is a stand-alone series, so there aren't any mainstream DC heroes in it (nor is it set in the DC universe).

Trailer looks amazing, unfortunately movies with awesome trailers tend to let me down, whereas I end up loving movies with bad trailers (like Iron Man, 300... and imho the Dark Knight trailer is bad too but I assume I'm going to love it...)

As in no big name actors. Don't worry, I know The Watchmen.

Wow...I guess I won't have to worry about seeing Batman at a non-IMAX theater anymore :p

Visually at least it looks to have really captured the essence of the graphic novel, can't wait to see more.

Is the comic as action-centered as the trailer? I was under the impression that it was sorta story-driven.

No, it is story-driven and flashback heavy but there is some action but not the kind of action you'd expect in a superhero comic.

Watchmen has to be an incredibly difficult comic to translate to film because there was so much going on between the comic-within-a-comic, the backstory stuff at the end of each issue, and all the other little stuff.

I have a feeling that there is going to be a lot of people hating on the Watchmen either because they have no clue what is going on or because they loved the comic and the film limitations will keep the movie from having the same impact as the comic.

Of course, if it turns out to be badly acted and badly directed then it will deserve to be hated on.

EW Cover of Watchmen - to get a better look at the costumes. Looks more goofier like they were in the comic than they do in the trailer.

And just for fun, here is the Watchmen Funnies from SomethingAwful.

This is either gonna be epic awesome or epic fail, I'm not seein an in between on this. I hope it's epic awesome because the graphic novel was.

I don't know what that was but it looked pretty cool.

Also. Smashing Pumpkins' tune was perfect fit:D

edit: FYI it was "The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning"

I saw the preview yesterday, and it looks amazing. I am excited for another Zack Snyder movie.

I finally saw TDK on Saturday...I was on the edge of my seats with a giant grin on my face watching this trailer while my friends all laughed at me. :p And even though I don't want to be excited about T4...the music and the airship at the very end of the teaser trailer combined with Christian Bale should still make any geek a little happy.
