We weren't supposed to reveal it as per Anand. I never cared one way or the other.

There were never any Mods responsible for specific forums. We were users just like the rest of you who browsed the froums and responded when we saw something or were sent a PM about something. This is partly what caused the perception about unfairness when one thing got locked and another didn't. We couldn't see every post on the forums. No one has that much time on their hands.
With the new Mods and a few more, maybe we can cover it.
We still need you members to PM us if something needs attention.
Of course, I am sure you are being sarcastic about DC, it was pretty well self-moderated.

But I wasn't banned, I changed my profile email address to a yahoo account, which in turn makes your account un-useable since anandtech will let you change it to that address but refuses to send email to that address, hence you never get any emails and cannot reset your password at all afterwards. It's a great way to ban yourself.

I've done that twice. I had an accoutn from around 2001 (Grandmonkey or something) that I cleverly nuked like that.

I did that once before, but instead of creating a new account I sent an e-mail to the mods asking them to reset my password or resend the e-mail or something (I forgot, it was awhile ago).

One thing I will say about LoKe he kept his word. He knew the name of every single mod here and try as I did he wouldn't reveal it. That accounts for something. I think you should consider that.

Was Loke tehe guy who made history by hacking the "bat cave" and used the exploit to lock/unlock threads and more or less create general havoc in the forums for a few hours? I remember being witness to that.

Yeh, he actually showed them the holes by climbing into them. He told them once about them and they didn't bother to fix them. So he climbed in again.

I think he was trying to do them a favor, and he could have created A LOT MORE HAVOC than he did.

Lately, he has resorted to throwing tantrums like a 5 year old and threatening to reveal the Mod list when he gets mad abut some perceived slight against a member of that other forum.

The only mod I've noticed so far in DC is raysun2be. I was going to pm "Anandtech Moderator" to see if we could get one, but noticed that we already have one 😛
