Not racist. It's like providing targeted internet advertising: if you search for phone reviews, you get ads for phones. If your people group buys chicken a lot, you get asked if you want chicken. I see nothing offensive here at all.

I think it's racist that you assume she's African American. She might just be African....or African Australian, or African European, or African Muslim....or....

That's right. Try calling a Jamaican an African American.

Yep...

I was also racist when I asked a new coworker where she was from, South American, and then asked if she was Catholic, yep... I'm not kidding, do some googling and people get pissed nowadays if you ask them what their background/ethnicity is.

I was near the Chinese food counter at a grocery and an African American woman was getting Chinese food for her family, as she was turning around to leave the man at the counter stopped her and said "we have 8 piece fried chicken for $5.99, do you want any", she responded with "no thanks". I can't help be think he asked her because she was African American. So was this racist?

The only thing racist is people as retarded as you asking if every waking comment "is racist"

Please slit your throat.

You can call people anything you want. Some things might get you punched, but that's life. I refuse to use the term African American. Some like it, but black is widely accepted also.

Typical, someone asks a question and assholes use it as an excuse to post racist crap.

I'm guessing that most people thought the post was satirical since it was so ridiculous and simply responded in kind.

I wouldn't call it ridiculous, and whether or not it was, it was not any justification to use it as an excuse to post racist crap.

Nay, He was running a business and trying to make a sale based on possibly something he has seen either portrayed in media or through trends. If he had accused her of something like shoplifting, or badgered her or adjusted the way he had spoke to her versus other customers, than maybe.

Also one thing, Racism isn't prejudice, we all tend to size up people based on the way they look or dress. If it was desheveled white man(meaning he looks homeless) or looked like a meth addict than chances are we are going to judge them differently than someone with a business suit on.

LOL

That ain't right :)

No it wasn't racist and yes I do believe that stereotype does have some root of truth. Everyone likes chicken, but as black people we do consume more of the bird than most other races.
