I don't think my spare K6-2 380 on 768/128 would really cut it.

ok we need a name then, and a server would be nice... i may be able to set one up but it will take at least a day or so and im not sure how good it will be... anyone know exactly how to run one cause i have never run a server before

I like the name. Anyway, you'll need to go Here here to join. Just use your AT name there if you don't mind. It'll make it easier to see who is doing what.

and i have a celron 833 or something like that running as an ftp server for me and my brother at home, i dunno how good it would perform though

You have to sign yourself up on that site, as part of our team.
Go to Clan Center. Then, where it says Tag Contains, put in ATF. Click on the team name, then "Join this Clan".

I might be able to host the practices. I don't know how well that would work, but I have a pretty speedy system. Can't hurt to try.

You guys talking about hosting,
What kind of connection do you have?
Bandwidth is likely to be a bigger limiting factor than your system specs.
With Cable and DSL, you are likely to have enough downstream but not enough upstream to host a decent number of players.
I'll sign up though. We could always get together on public servers and play.

Im running cable and my upstream may not be enough i think it maxes out at 40kbps opr around there. I agree we could just play on public servers, either a few we regurlarly play on or just somehow notify each other what server we are on

If i were to host and play from this comp it would be on a T1 lan from the college.

Are you looking for people who don't how to play and reliably fly airplanes straight into the ground? If so, I'm your guy. Seriously, though, I just got the game and have a lot of learning to do. I assume it would be better for me to learn before joining?

We allow animated avatars, html in sigs and posts, picture uploading, private forums, PM system, and just about anything else you could want. Would love to get some more BF1942 players. Let me know.

Y'all should probably get 1.3.1. I don't like it, as I now have weird sound problems and connection problems, but I think that you have to install it to play on most servers.
