This is why you need to add people to your IM lists, and get All Seeing Eye (do a Google search--you'll find it). Do a search for people with {ATF} in front of their name, add them to your buddy list, and you can see who is playing at any one time. That said, I'm about to go find a game.

just register at gamemecca, and request to be added to the clan, I believe we're still taking newbs, make sure you have a method of IM available, so far we have 14members, and I still only have 10 IM addresses.

Gotcha, I just got ASE, but I can't do wildcard searches (ie. {ATF}* ) with an unregistered version... and doing a search on {ATF} reveals no results of course 🙁

You need to go into "Buddy--Add Buddy", and then "Go to Buddy Name Search". Now you search for names in Battlefield 1942 beginning with {ATF}. You can only add 4 to your list in the unregistered version. It's only $10 for a one year license--pony up.

btw does anyone know how to get ahold of toonice and/or hardcore, I see them playing in ASE, but they are on a server that when I try to connect, I get a corrupt data error. Specifically Easyconnect.fr-Desert Combat

Don't know how else to reach them, but I suspect if you download Desert Combat Mod you'll be able to join their game. I've got just under 4 hours until mine is done downloading.....
 
ahhh, I didn't know it was a mod, does it corrupt any of the normal gameplay? I tried mods on past games and it always screwed up plain game play in one way or another.

i'm downloading it now, should finish in about 15 min of the edit.

No, it won't corrupt any of the normal game play. I have DC installed on my machine and I can switch back and forth between the two (normal BF and DC).
