Want to join the Anonymous Tech Forums Battlefield 1942 Clan?

I too am a noob--I tried to practice my flying last night, and was not at all successful. I'm fine cruising over the water and stuff, but I can't for the life of me do controlled strafing or bombing. Guess it will come with time. I've been hoping to avoid taking my monster joystick out of the closet, but I may have to. Man, that didn't sound right.

if you have a GOOD joystick flying is greatly improved like a ms sidwinder, a cheap gravis type joystick sucks I prefere to use the keyboard over it. I don't have a joystick myself and do quite will with the keyboard, just let go of the mouse when flying


also, I may or may not be able to join the game I'm getting together, just found out my grandma is in the hospital and I'll probably go visit if the hospital lets me. So if someone else wants to co-ordinate this that would be great. I'll be out for while visiting, should be back around 8:00 or 8:30, so if ya'll want to pick a server and get started I'll join when I get back.

I thought another one tonight might be good, I totally missed it last night(btw my grandma is gonna be fine and is going home today), I didnt' get in last night till 10:30.

I'll try to play tonight. I generally log on sometime after 8 or 9 pm EST. I've added everyone that I could find with {ATF} in their name as buddies in All Seeing Eye---there's only about 6, so people obviously need to get on the ball!

It's a server browser that makes it very easy to find games and buddies. Here's the website where you can download it:

Trial version is free, but you're limited to 4 buddies in your list. It's $10 to register and have unlimited. There was discussion over at our site on GameMecca about everyone getting this--I think it makes sense.

I recently upgraded to a Logitch Elite wireless setup which is wonderful, but am running into a big snag with 1942 where the mouse seems to be constantly clicking and it is holding up the video and the gameplay... I check the logitech site and have found not mention og any problems with 1942 .... Anyone have any thoughts?

Try uninstalling the Mouseware drivers/software. I have had nothing but problems with that in games.

This really sucks! I spent 100.00 bucks (shhhst ! between you/me got it free!.. Thanks! Anandtech!) It works with everything, but BF 1942. And I don't wanna give up my keyboard!
