Its interesting that so many people mind a manual in traffic. I honestly dont even think about it, as its second nature. The only time is maybe when I'm in San Francisco.

It gets annoying with a heavy pedal and aggressive clutch disc. The way my car is set up, it's best to be 0 MPH or 15+ MPH. Trying to inch along in traffic at 2 MPH and having to PWM the clutch pedal constantly is a pain with the car bucking and either wanting to stall or rear end the person in front of me but nothing in between. Trying to roll that slow is an exercise of holding the clutch in constantly, and quickly stabbing it out and back in along with a throttle blip for every 10 feet I need to roll. Do that for a mile or more :)

If I get a lux/cruiser type of car in the near future it will be auto or some SMG automated-manual variety. I already have two manuals in the "extreme" and "beater" categories, so I'd get something in between to compliment them.

Wow, bad idea. Both the 2012 Chevy Sonic and Ford Fiesta can be found for less, and they both come with A/C standard.

Besides, if you wanna go REALLY cheap, you'll be going a Nissan Versa for $10,990.

The Dart is bigger than the Focus, it's MUCH larger than the Fiesta, Sonic, or Versa.

I'm the opposite.
I'd rather have a stick in traffic than zone out in an automatic.
I know I'm in the minority. Most people just want to something that can accelerate faster than the person next to them while they listen to the radio\ read the paper\apply make up.
Plus, driving stick makes it REALLY hard to drive and talk on the cell phone.

Whatever. I could eat tacos and drive a stick. That sounds wrong somehow.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

A better comparison would be the Focus, the Civic 4 door, the Elantra, or the Cruze. It's heavier than them but not by an insane amount.

Why even make a crap model? Cheapens the image, plus it's a sign of desperation that you need a low starting price to lure people in.
