If you're not in an open carry state, you should start shopping for a better holster..
Yea, my state is open carry. So I don't try very hard to hide my firearm. Instead I try to be comfortable. I however don't want to carry it right on my hip because it makes people uneasy.
For the record, I go out of my way to avoid shopping at stores I know check receipts. None of the stores in my area do (because I live in a good area). However, sometimes you can't pick and choose where to shop, or the rules change because of a holiday season. For some products, if you don't want to wait for shipping, you simply have no choice. For example, if I want to buy a video game, the only choice I have is Best buy. The gamestop by me is in my mall and my mall has very large posted signs that say they do not want any firearms on the premises. This means (much to my great happiness) that I can't go to the mall. The Best Buy by me doesn't check receipts, but sometimes during the holiday season they start checking. I know they did it 2 years ago. I don't think they did last year, probably because almost everyone gave them shit about it. I also don't shop at Sam's Club, because I read their policies and I don't agree with them. But I am not going to let people force me to do shit that I wasn't informed about before entering the store. If I'm going to waste my time, it's going to be on my terms and cost your company even more.
If those stores don't want my business, all they need to do is have the police tell me I'm not allowed to shop there anymore. Plain and simple.
I respect the rights of the stores. You want to check receipts? Then do what the mall does. Post a big freaking sign that says that you accept this by entering. That way I know to steer clear.
