Subsidizing is money from the government Dave. You know, corporate welfare?
Once again your knowledge of econ sinks to a new low.
Wal-mart buys our government, try again.

As usual Dave you cannot articulate an argument. It's almost fun seeing you post meaningless drivel. At least some here are attempting a coherent argument, either in support of your position or not.
No support for a position, just a word as if that has any meaning without context.

It's the only word necessary and of course I would expect for you and your kind to not get it.
Wally World requires all companies that do business with them to set up a physical precence in the city of Bentonville.
They buy the Government.

Where is your proof of that? Not hearsay, not a one word answer, proof. I have done business with Wal Mart and I sure as hell do not have a physical presence in any part of Arkansas.
Also, have you been to Bentonville? I have, plenty of times. There is no way that the 1000's of companies that do business with Wal Mart have physical presences in that little city.
Most of Wal-Marts big suppliers have offices in and around their headquarters.Originally posted by: compman25

It is considered part of the cost of doing business with Wal-Mart.
There are a lot of books and articles out there about how Wal-Mart has changed the retail world. Most of the changes are for the better, at least for consumers, but many of the changes really do hurt suppliers. The constant drive to make things cheaper really hurts a lot of suppliers, but if you are buying pickles in their stores you don?t really care if the pickle company almost went broke trying to meet Wal-Mart?s goals.

I live 45 minutes from there.
Interesting a newcomer to P&N with no profile.
Wal-mart shill perhaps?
They may have changed their ways now but that is exactly how Bentonville got a good majority of the businesses that are there, they were forced to set up shop there.
I have my own personal sources and of course they shall remain my personal sources.

Again, you said ALL companies that do business with them. That is a LIE. Then you say maybe they have changed? Do you not know? If not, why post something you do not know?
And if Spokane WA is Bentonville I guess I could be a shill for them. But I doubt it. You didn't specify what kind of business a company had to do with them, you said all. I owned a trucking company, I have done lots of business with them. But like I said, I DO NOT have a physical presence there and never would.

A delivery service for crying out loud? Is that not a real BUSINESS? Do you know how much stuff is in your posession because of a "delivery service"? Actually, can you tell me how much stuff is in your posession that wasn't ever at one time on a truck? Since it's just a "delivery service", why don't you tell me what do you just do? And complaining about America isn't a job.
Since you say Wal Mart buys the goverment, what happened in Hercules CA? Rush Township PA? Macon-Bibb County GA? Beaverton OR?
You are the one posting garbage as facts, when it is a LIE.

If you bothered to read my posts I posted articles where the government built the Interstate to go directly to the front gate of many companies.
I wouldn't expect it to make sense to you.

With Wal-mart being the only store in the U.S. what makes it any different than old Russia?

Where do you get this crap? I think my local mall has 130 different stores in it... or more - and not a single one of those is WalMart!
I much prefer Target anyways...
