WAAAAA!!! Just changed my monitor refresh to 85!!

If a monitor supports 85hz at 1600x1200, does that mean it will do a higher refresh at 1280x960 even though it's not supported?

niwi7 - you dont have to worry about refresh rates if you're using an LCD screen. Your native refresh rate will be fine.

Actually, before I got my new monitor I couldn't stand anything below 100hz...even 85 annoyed me after awhile. Using a laptop 6-8 hours out of the day kinda spoiled me.

Right click on desktop, go to settings> advanced > monitor

The problem is that when you get down to 60Hz, the text gets so sharp that it slices through your eyes. 😛

When my win2000 boots up and gets to the white screen (with the windows logo and blue progress bar at the bottom), that is 60Hz until it loads my personal settings and restores to 90Hz.

Is there any way to get that white screen anything above 60hz?? cause I can hear my eyes crying when looking directly at it.
