Well... if you include Unicron then you've also got to include the Death Star. 1 little pop from the Death Star's super laser & the only thing Unicron will be good for is paper clips.

Robotech SDF-1 fools - they held off the entire Zentradi armada for nearly a year. SSD can't even cope with a A-Wing crashing on it's bridge...Big-E got destroyed by an old, obsolete Bird of Prey.

The Daedelus with the ZPM powering its Asgard shields and weapons, with transporter technology to beam nukes directly onto your ship >>>>>>> *

Darth Vader will just enter space, swim over to the Enterprise and then push the button on his vest that calls his mom.

The enterprise will obviously just cloak and phase itself, rendering the usual weapons useless against it. Then it will sick the borg on everyone.

Either that or fly straight at the sun at warp 10, and kill everyone as they are born.

i'm surprised noone came up w/the calcs of how much firepower needed to destroy a mass of 8km long using the weapons specs of that empire?

ie: yield of a photon torp + how many to bring down a ssd.

ie2: what's the energy released by the ssd's weapons, and how much punishment can the Enterprise's shields withstand?

No ubergeek *** vs *** discussion would be complete without this site - Starship Dimensions

The SDF-1 destroyed Dolza's Base (1400 Km high - Zentraedi Fulbtzs Berrentzs class Home Base - see the -2000X link at the above website) and around 5 million Zentraedi Cruisers with a barrier system overload. Even just the main gun is capable of destroying scores of Zentraedi Cruisers in one blast.

An SSD is 12 Km long. Even the Death Star 2 is only 160 Km in diameter.

A Galaxy class Federation Starship is 643 m long.

Voltron is what? 100 m high at most?

Robotech >>>> SSD >> Enterprise-D > Transformers > Voltron

That's what I'm talking about 😀

While everyone else is paused for commercial breaks the SSD is going to kick butt.

Can we add Star Blazers into the mix?

hmm what do dimensions have to do with anything? Death Star's are capable of destroying total planets. A nuke can wipe out most of a country with the right load.

Id have to vote for the SFT-3 and all its support ships...

Hell, the thing is a Mile long, a crew of 10k+ and comes with enough firepower to blow up planets. Not to mention it has squadrons of veritechs and omnimechs, and a billion support ships in the fleet...

Enterprise.

Take out the SSD shields (hell, even the wussy Alliance manged that) then transporters + quantum torpedos for teh win.

I'd like to point out that the enterprise has no starfighters with which to get inside the shields of the SSD, so...they have to cruise inside the SSD's shields and they're dead from counter fire before you get to step 1. Remember, the starfighters did it b/c they were fast and tiny targets. Shuttlecraft could not do the same job.

That depends on if the SSD's shields are keeping out projectiles in that particular scene.😉

If so, use Runabouts to get in close and take out the sheild generators.

If not, just torpedo the shield generators and start transporting quantum torpedos into she SSD's magazines and engine spaces.

Since the enterprise never had runabouts, and they'd STILL probably get blown away by the SSD's close in AA, that seems unlikely. And clearly, there is some sort of projectile protection, or the Rebels would have just used their own proton torpedos.

As I said, there are inconsistencies in the shown capabilities of Imperial shielding.

The Sovereign class (Enterprise E) shuttlebay was designed to accomodate Runabouts. Use of Federation fighters was also shown in the Dominion War. There is no reason the Enterprise could not carry them.

Okay. I still want to see evidence that the enterprise could destroy a ship 20x it's length and probably 1000x it's mass before said ship could get one volley off?

There is nothing in the star trek universe of comparable size that they have had a reasonable shot at blowing away.

Ya... I just wanted to point out that a borg tatical cube is a helluva lot bigger and more armed then the Enterprise E

oh btw, when did the enterprise E get destroyed by an obsolete bird of prey?

As said before, the entire rebel fleet was fireing on the SSD and the captain was sitting in a gravity well...

See, that proves how lame the SSD is if it had problems coping with the smaller rebel fleet.

I was referring to D in from the "Generations" movie. "E" almost got it @ss handed to it by that huge Romulan ship in "Nemsis"...even Trek ships can barely stand single engagements. Unless Kirk is at the helm of course (Corbomite Manuver 😀)

SDF-1 r0x0rs with the Minmay defense!
