Yeah, he'd slice that biotch in half with his blazing sword...though he can't dance - he got served the last time I saw him in action.

Come on.

Drop the SSD and it's a real battle.

Nahh SSDs are over rated.. plus, drop it in a grav well and it can't jump to hyperspace! :D

Robotech SDF-1 fools - they held off the entire Zentradi armada for nearly a year. SSD can't even cope with a A-Wing crashing on it's bridge...Big-E got destroyed by an old, obsolete Bird of Prey.

oh btw, when did the enterprise E get destroyed by an obsolete bird of prey?

As said before, the entire rebel fleet was fireing on the SSD and the captain was sitting in a gravity well...

See, that proves how lame the SSD is if it had problems coping with the smaller rebel fleet.

I was referring to D in from the "Generations" movie. "E" almost got it @ss handed to it by that huge Romulan ship in "Nemsis"...even Trek ships can barely stand single engagements. Unless Kirk is at the helm of course (Corbomite Manuver :D)

SDF-1 r0x0rs with the Minmay defense!

True but the Enterprise E was outgunned Huge! against that ship. It wasn't almost, it got it's ass handed to it.

My question is, could transformers keep up to startships in space? Or could the Enterprise E/ SSD just go full reverse and pick em off as they come.

The SDF-1 destroyed Dolza's Base (1400 Km high - Zentraedi Fulbtzs Berrentzs class Home Base - see the -2000X link at the above website) and around 5 million Zentraedi Cruisers with a barrier system overload. Even just the main gun is capable of destroying scores of Zentraedi Cruisers in one blast.

An SSD is 12 Km long. Even the Death Star 2 is only 160 Km in diameter.

A Galaxy class Federation Starship is 643 m long.

Voltron is what? 100 m high at most?

Robotech >>>> SSD >> Enterprise-D > Transformers > Voltron

hmm what do dimensions have to do with anything? Death Star's are capable of destroying total planets. A nuke can wipe out most of a country with the right load.
It's as valid a reference point as any other discussed in this thread. People here are comparing the power of SSD turbolasers to Star Trek quantum torpedoes to Voltron's giant sword.

A turbolaser can destroy a small asteroid. The Enterprise-D got stuck in an asteroid field. The SDF-1 destroyed Dolza's battleship, which was about 1/10 the size of earth's moon.

Size matters.

BTW, I still think

8km in length, 144 fighters and various support craft. Furthermore, it has over 500 turbolaser batteries (250 regular, 250 heavy), another 250 concussion missile tubes, 250 ion cannons... no Star Trek ship could survive. If you think they can launch photon torpedos, SSDs can launch enough bombers with enough heavy rockets/space bombs to blow any Trekkie capital ship into oblovion.

sounded good until space bombs

SSD ownz you TREKKIES.
Get over it.
Not even Rick Hunter can save the SDF-1.
I don't even need to respond to Voltron, transformers or the power rangers...

A-Wing pwns SSD beotch :D :D :D

STFU douche ;) The A wing happened to get lucky. It was the concentrated effort of a good portion of the rebel fleet that wore down the SSD's shields.

As referenced in the 4th book of the X-wing series, a SSD can absorb over 120 proton torpedos and still retain battle functionality, abliet with quite a bit of damage.

If that Executor had its complementary squadron of TIE Defenders that it should have had shortly before its demise, then nothing stands a chance. Those babies had the shield capabilities of a Victory Class basically and could outrun the fastest torpedos in that universe. Also, if the Executor also had its squadron of missle boats and two more of TIE Advanced, no chances. We are talking hundreds of fighters!

That is what I always hated about the books - if the empire could hit them with a wave of many hundreds of fighters, how could the good guys stand up to that. In my TIE andvance with bombs I could single handedly take out a calimari cruiser :p

Also, the Executer shields are supposed to be impossible to break through while they are up. It took the concetrated fire of nearly 20 calamari cruisers to bring them down so the fighters could go in for their close assault. Additoinally, in the comics three imperial class SD's crashed into a Executor class after a badly aimed hyperjump and the three cruisers were completely destroyed. However, the the Executor class suffered temporary shield loss due to this.

So, basically, if everyone else concentrated all their fire on the executor class for a few minutes, then some damage could be done :) Other wise, if it is just chaos, well, the others will just picked out by the enourmous complement of highly advanced fighers and gunships.

*Star Trek = No contest. My bet is that a couple TIE Advanced or missle boats could take out that POS with space bombs or heavy torpedos. Man, the enterprise can only shoot so fast :p*

Like someone else said earlier, Unicron. He's a transformer, and he's the size of a planet; he'd crush the SSD in one blow. Hell, he'd literally EAT the SSD, since that's what he does.

Ok. I dont think there is even a question here. The SSD is so fricken big that it could blow away any star trek ship in no time. Just the sheer amount of missles that thing could fling at a ship would be insane. The enterprise isnt that manuvarable either so its not like it has a huge advantage there. The only thing the enterpise has going for it is Picard. I mean..while the enterprise has a master mind of combat and a kick ass crew to think of a way to beat the SSD the SSD just has a bunch of british dicks that dont have half the brains of the star trek crew.

SOOO if the SSD game the enterpise enough time to figure out some way to beat them...Prob some BS explination of using the deflector dish calibrated to a certain frequency to bounce some kind of wave to take down their sheilds or something then they would win. If the SSD just went balls out right away no question.

don tknow enough about robo stuff so i dunno about htem

Like I said Earlier.. if you include Unicron for the transformers side then you have to include the Death Star for the Star Wars side. Unicron has no ranged weapons. pwnd!
