You are dumb if you think you'll hear a resounding "Yes". That is your problem. You think one black woman acting out of line is embarrassing for other black people. Also, like I said earlier, who cares if it reinforces the racism of a racist or uneducated person? Is it one person's job to make another not racist? No, if a person is racist that's their problem.

If you have children I will feel bad for them if you expect them to go out of their way to make bad people less insecure.

I don't think one black woman acting out of line is embarrassing for other black people. I think it is embarrassing for ALL people.

Who cares if it reinforces racism? Maybe people who are victims of racism?

It's clear you're not worth speaking to so I won't respond to any of your pathetic attempts to label me as a racist anymore.

My comments stand: the woman's behavior was appalling and disrespectful. It is sad that some people will use her behavior to reinforce their own prejudices and stereotypes which can be used to discriminate against other people of color.

We're all human beings and we should all look beyond skin color.

In closing, here's a message Aaron McGruder has about people who behave this way:

Perhaps it's better if you run out of this thread. You've been backtracking from your original statement so hard since I called you out that I thought you were doing the moonwalk. Victims of racism have the racists to blame, idiot, not anyone else. I really feel bad for your children if you think that deflecting blame is the way to lead your life. You, I, your kids or anyone else is not here to absorb the pain of others. We are not some Christ figure to absolve others of their stupidity. You are sad. Really sad.

You are soooo desperate to leave this "discussion" with a sense of "winning" rather than actually sharing with someone else your "enlightenment".

You are the one instructing her not to perpetuate a certain stereotype. You are implying that, by reinforcing that stereotype, she makes ALL blacks look bad. That is the problem I have with you or your statement. What others are trying to say here is that her behavior should have nothing to do with those of anyone else. You are saying that her behavior was stereotypical. You may not think you're a racist just like people who say they're not racist because they have black friends but you show the signs. All you had to do was concentrate your attack on her rather than talk about any wider (dumb, IMHO) implications about what her actions meant. Your statement is doubly dumb considering that there were other black people there who did not act like that. In your mind she probably embarrassed them, right?

the truth hurts.
this is how all of america perceives blacks, whether it be white/yellow/black america (just look at the chris rock clip) and she isn't making the situation better.

and before anyone calls me racist, i'd like to state that i have black co-workers, and a black president.

I will bet anything you ask the posters like myself who have been apart of these forums almost from the beginning and even those that disagree with me will probably admit to the way more race baiting threads now over just 5-6 years ago. Dude you got posters in the dozens who repeatedly take shots at blacks and hispanics. You would get the occasional slobber knocker but nothing like now. Man there was dude who had a damn swastika for an avatar. Are you kidding me? I love many here but I have no problem with slamming those I dislike. And they are all the same, lol, its always the same ones.

'a part' is two words in this instance.

lol@you. If you were muslim would you go around apologizing for what Al Qaeda does? Would you, before getting on a plane, plead with others that you are not a terrorist? lol.

this wasn't directed at me, but i'll say that IF i were muslim, i might not be walking around everywhere explaining i'm not a terrorist, but i would definitely be ashamed that they're associated with my religion.
and each time a terrorist attack happens in the name of islam, i'd be doing the double face palm wishing they would stop giving "my people" a bad name.

So if someone claims to do something in your religion, it all of a sudden becomes your problem? It seems like you would've fallen into their trap. By the way, how come, as a Christian, you don't apologize or do a facepalm for all the perverted priests?

Actually, I've been sharing it. But in case you miss it here it is: Treat each individual you meet with the same expectations you would expect to be given to you. No preconceived notions, no stereotypes, no nothing. That way, you don't misjudge anyone and they do not misjudge you. However, if, for example, you go into meeting a black person with all sorts of preconceived notions about how you expect them to act, then you've already defined them before giving them the chance to define themselves.

Taking something from Freemasonry, it is good to always meet someone "on the level".

By the way, from Wikipedia:
Stereotype
A stereotype is a commonly held public belief about specific social groups or types of individuals.

According to CoW, if someone perpetuating this belief they can be regarded as normal. If they don't then they are not normal or special. I think it's a twisted view of how someone should be perceived. I was trying to argue (and correct) his method of thinking.

I agree.

His/her constant attempts to label me as a racist when my statements have repeatedly expressed the opposite, to put words into my mouth, and then attack me as a parent have earned him/her the honor of being the first person on my ignore list.

After looking at that video I dont care if she is black, white, purple or polka dotted...! Cursing like that in public in front of kids is wrong and NO that is not a 1st amendment right that is plain and simple just showing how much of an ASS you are... If that makes me a racist then so be it... I HATE STUPID PEOPLE...!

Had a guy several years ago in Wal Mart started cursing at a store clerk right next to me and my daughter that was 6 at the time... I got in his face and told him to cut the language there was a child right next to him... Granted I`m kinda of a big guy and he was of the shellfish variety so one shove from me and he exited but I still had to explain a few various 4 letter words to my daughter and that they were bad and not to be repeated which is the main issue... How would you like it if your child repeated what that bitch had said and it was to your pastor or another child that also repeated it...

IMO I don't care if your skin is white, black, yellow, green, or polka dotted.

If you act like trash, you're trash.

The woman in this video is trash. Pure and simple. She does all people of color a great disservice by reinforcing and perpetuating racial stereotypes.
This is your original statement and it's why I think you're dumb. This dumb lady in the OP is NOT representative of any people of any color. She is just a loud agitated bitch who will curse anyone out that takes her bait. You have a serious problem if you think this lady makes anyone but herself look bad. Ignore me all you want like some man-child (of wonder?) but I called you out on this because of your sorry and skewed way of thinking.

please tell me my sarcasm meter is broken.

having black co-workers and a black president has ZERO bearing on whether or not you are a racist. although if you actually think it does then you probably are a racist.

uh, al qaeda isn't muslim. they're radical extremists.

also, islam is also a religion... not a race.

This thread has become about stereotypes, not racism. Also Al Qaeda is 100% Islamic and they claim to represent Muslims.
