No, the supra got owned.

The supra was barely moving at 50 feet, the driver messed up or there was something the matter with his car.

Not that I know much about cars or that camaro.
But if the car needed drag slicks that big and had such advanced cams that made the engine sound like that at idle(I bet idle for that thing is around 1200rpms). I'm willing to bet that the camaro had nitrous and or some sort of supercharger.

However I would rather have that supra because I doubt that camaro is street legal or even driveable.

lol, advanced cams? More like one cam with fat ass lobes?

Yeah, "advanced cams" isn't understandable for Americans. They're just now learning not to bury the cam in the engine. :p

I love seeing the pre street race burnouts those always make me laugh. Cause they are better off not doing that on street tires. (from what I've read)

Street tires if they are spun they will get hotter however the rubber will bead up(think eraser beads) and will stick on the tire which ultamitly causes less traction. Now if they had drag slicks the rubber wouldn't bead up.

Its best not to do burnouts on street tires but rather just get the tires warm through driving.

(this is all that I've read from other sites on the internet, I'm not going to get in an arguement over it)

I had a 69 camaro that sounded just like that. It had a high lift cam with high compression. There's nothing like it. Makes the ground shake just idling.

It was a beast to drive but that's the point of a high horsepower muscle car. Nothing like the smell of cam2.

So what do you do if you've been waiting fifteen minutes for your turn to run? Say, wait a minute. I need to circle the block to warm my tires?

LOL

Sorry I'm used to most engines having more than one cam, I forgot about american engines.

Just leave them colder.

I guess.

Hot rodding was invented in the US. But still most people only use their car for transportation.

I am not sure how to respond to that. I will supress my laughter.

That looks EXACTLY like the guys car whom I bout my old super t10 off'n, right down to the rumpy idle. If it is the same camaro, then its a 510 big block, 9.8:1 compression, 250/254 @0.050 with something like .650 lift, factory oval heads with some serious porting and backed by a T56 and 4.11's. Does low 11's and runs on 91 on warm sunny days.

I'm sad now, I wish I had my camaro again... :(

BTW: Supra owner didn't screw up by the looks of it, just realized he was beat well before the 60'.

Funny how "Hemi" means nothing considering most 4v engines have hemispherical heads. Ricer boys could slap Hemi badges to their civics and technicaly be accurate.

...they developed a 1964 426 race Hemi prototype with 4 valves per cylinder and DOHC.

lol, I was reading through and was thingking how old is the hemi?

Old bud, something like '49 or '50 when they came out, I think, at least thats how old I was told my Red Ram was.

Sad how the new 'Hemi' is only semi-hemi.

What do you mean by semi-hemi?

I'd take a DOHC 6.0 v12 with variable length intake and exhaust runners. :Q

No supercharger on that Camaro. You'd hear belt whine like crazy if it had one. Seriously doubt nitrous too.

Now, a 454CID crate motor is definitely within the realm of possibility, and you can get 600+ HP out of those things with natural aspiration.
