Very scary time for young men in America

well there's an easy way to avoid this problem

My Nephew has several hidden cameras in his room and he records the whole thing and keeps archives, they all connect to a Synology box running Surveillance Station. He is smart because the cameras records audio and he makes sure the conversation shows consent and during the sex act.

My recommendation for anyone is to do the same thing he does, be smart don't be stupid and show it to people or post it, keep it private and keep indefinite archives as well. The reason for that is what if 40 years later that person claims rape? With the video and audio you have your get out of jail card.

^ Non-consensual recording of sex is illegal (in most if not all states?). In some states it's even a felony. Telling someone so it's consensual, would kill the mood for ~90% of women who aren't dumb enough to leave a sex tape floating around. which could come back to haunt them years later.

Plus, suppose there is a breakup and the woman claims she didn't consent to recording, then the search warrant finds several tapes and each woman asked "Did you consent to a sex tape?" might feel the better answer is "NO", so multiple felonies?!

So you're damned if you do and damned if you don't ?

I thought Trump was joking until I read this:
https://reason.com/blog/2018/10/09/uc-davis-title-ix-me-too-sex-hook-up

Try to read all of it or most of it....

Dang man:
I've covered dozens of Title IX cases involving dubious sexual misconduct allegations, unfair adjudicatory procedures, and life-ruining consequences for the young men involved. James's situation is different: He was cleared, and is now enjoying his sophomore year at UC-Davis. In some sense, the process worked.

Even so, James had to spend most of a semester fearful that his life as he knew it was about to end—that his name would become synonymous with the evil men of #MeToo. He had to recount the intimate details of an amorous encounter to university administrators, a lawyer, and his parents. And his family shelled out $12,000 in legal fees.

This is part of the reason why I don't do business lunches with just one woman or have women ride in my car alone...I don't ever want there to even be an allegation of misconduct. Yikes.

This is what I've been saying for a while. You can't even ask a girl out anymore, because that will be seen as flirting or sexual harassment. Like the idea of going to a bar or club and trying to pickup girls. Can't do that anymore. It's good that there is more awareness about REAL sexual abuse and harassment, but at the same time it's also opened a whole can of worms where the actual definition of harassment has also been changing and now everyone is "coming out" about stuff people did like 30 years ago in high school that were ok back then.

I'm happy single, so have no desire to get a GF or in the dating scene, I feel that makes things so much simpler really. If I did I would just do online dating on sites that are geared towards finding girls locally. Throw my profile picture out there and just wait for the girls to flock over (I know they would 😛). That way they are coming to me, not me going to them.

The legal system as a whole is very biased against guys too so it's very easy to get in trouble now days with this sort of thing, or if someone decides to bring up something from 30 years ago.

You missed a huge piece. The whole thing only applies to famous people. Us nobodies are fine.

all of this stuff, IMO, only applies if you're ugly and/or creepy and/or low status.

high value men can still get away with whatever the hell they want.

So all anyone needs is an allegation brought against them and that can kick start a formal hearing? No evidence is needed to substantiate the claim made just the allegation that it happened is enough? Damn it is a scary time in America if that's the case.

This is pretty fucked up. Not only by being accused in the first place, but then having to spend a lot of money defending yourself and living with fear of getting kicked out of college. And for the fact that the case went in his favor, how does this affect the young women. What happens the next time it happens involving her?

Got to show this one to the wife--being a professor and all.

White knights and crazy women have brought us to this. This Becky sounds highly manipulating. Can only hope she gets a taste of her own medicine some day.

Yup. And in her own statement she contradicts herself and any rational person reading it should understand that it was consensual the way she wrote it and at the very least ask her more questions.
