Good idea, I wouldn't allow a theme to restrict me to a crippled browser. If the developer has no interest in fixing his theme, I'd stick to classic or get an alternative theme, not the end of the world ;)

But one more once, mine is not crippled!

See this from May:

Really nice you R more open than I.....I only cherish my Lavafox red, and, over time, I checked most of them out, hated all of them, cept this one.

I am the same in such as Winamp skins. I only like the classic one, but only configured as I do.

Remember, you kicked PM to the curb. I started to, but, thankfully retained it. Yes, I know you have your reasons for having done that.

While there are replacement add-ons for most of the ones I use that work with PM 25 like ABP, BUT, the latest Pale Moon doesn't work with Internet Download Manager's Add-on, now that is a big no no to me because it allows me to download any video I'm watching from any site with the click of a button. When I reported this, they told me to use FlashGet but I won't use some free add-on when I have my paid Internet Download Manager that I have been using for many years and now it doesn't work.

If I show you how beautiful IDM is, you will never be able to do without it, super speedy downloads, awesome interface, and the ability to download videos or audio is priceless. That's why I threw Pale Moon out the Windows because IDM's team will not support that browser and they shouldn't really be obliged to. Their focus and work can only be towards the main browsers like FF, Chrome (eww) and IE, Opera, etc....

On a side note, that's why I don't use themes and have accustomed myself to like the default theme......why? because every few upgrades of a browser and baam, something is broken, don't have time for this.....just my 2 cents worth, take it or leave it

Well, I din know that and am sure that's major and an actual deal breaker!:(
I feel U re this app, that for you it is as precious as my Lavfox Red. that it no longer works I can feel is VERRRRY annoying.

Very interesting! Pragmatic self protection. When we hook up casually, we make barriers to preclude risking our hearts. I get this. But, falling in love is the opposite: no walls no boundaries, risk and vulnerability.

Truth is, every single time PM updated after my having gotten it, and the teeny test runs in a flash to see if yr add ons R compatible, I would focus and feel relieved when they were. I get it.

Very interesting phenomenon in life in all arenas: to what extent are we able and willing to be all in with the inherent risks?

I REALLY like you delineated your reality in this with PM and were able to!
Not all humans are that clear re their own internal workings! And those, within humans are far too complex for someone to write an app like SSD Life or Speed fan or any such thing.

Since the browser gurus are here I'd like to ask a question. Is there a problem with PaleMoon 25? I am running 25.0.2 which apperas to be up-to-date. But when using gmail, it tells me my version of Firefox is unsupported? I went to www.mozilla.org and I got the same message there, that I am using an older version of Firefox. Are Palemoon developers using older versions of the FF source code for Palemoon? Also, if I wish to switch to a different 64-bit firefox, is Cyberfox or Waterfox better?

Pale Moon before was based on the Firefox ESR 24 code, so all sites worked perfectly as if it were Firefox. Then the developer though he can be all macho and be a browser on his own so they dropped the Firefox ESR 24 idea and went on their own. Thus, many sites broke, Gmail is just one of many. 90% of add-ons don't work, unless you want to download the customized versions which they created like ABP and Ablock Edge, etc. But then again, you lose out on the fact that when the Add-on gets updated, you have to wait till they also update their tweaked version of the ad-on. Add-ons like Internet Download Manager's downloader which downloads any video off the internet that you can watch doesn't work, so that's a show breaker for me and IDM and many companies will not support another browser such as Pale Moon. They have a lot of browsers to worry about as it is.

With that being said, Cyberfox uses the same code as the latest Firefox so you will never run into compatibility issues neither with Addons or sites. Additionally, if you install it while leaving the default option for CTR (Classic Theme Restorer) it won't have the ugly Australis interface!

I highly suggest you try it and forget about Pale Moon altogether

Cyberfox updated to v33.0.3 just hours after Mozilla released Firefox 33.0.3 and now comes with preset defaults to easily switch between classic interface or Australis interface along with hardware acceleration improvements
