Haven't used Avira for years. If Avira put it in yr quarantine, don't you have the option to right click on it there and get more detailed info on it?
Or, do you mean you scanned it before unpacking it and Avira said file was infected?
PS, I call infections insects.
Protection apps aren't perfect. Sometimes they flag something wrongly.....we call those false positives. But always good to follow up. Again, when and how were you flagged by Avira??
I hadn't used it for a while either...not since they put ask.com in it and didn't tell anyone. Its gone from the installation now.
Clicking on 'details' just gives information on the specific virus it thinks it's detecting. If you or someone else can download that zip file and make sure it hasn't been compromised, I'll override avira.
Done and done, pls see my addenda in my last post. Both Norton and Suparanti said the file is clean. U sure U downloaded the zipped beta file and not hit the the ad on the site?
My NOD32 didn't say anything about it either. Try submitting the file to virustotal.com and show us the resultsChecking this out...Avira doesn't like profilebuddy.exe, in version 1.03, suggesting TR/Dropper.MSIL.Gen8 is present.
Just tried the Lavafox theme, there is an issue with the theme and the latest Firefox 33.0.2 hence why you are seeing the same issue in Cyberfox, check this thread I posted on the Cyberfox forums and got a reply quickly from the very helpful and modest developer:Ahah! GOTTCHA!
PS: If U get it, I will be dying to know if you can get it to display properly in the whole Cyberfox GUI!

Edit: C....someone should turn Lavafox Red into fabric! Then, use it to make little dresses and tops!!! I am not kidding. But of course, pay the guy who made it in the first place.

I will have to contact the Lavafox Author
Thanks. Yes, ads are blocked, and it's triggered by the .exe file.
I contacted the Lavafox Author and will keep you posted as to when we get an update![]()
ohh noo I didn't install Stylish? Why would a theme require an add-on??
I have to go out now to see my mommy then I'll come back and try Stylish

My NOD32 didn't say anything about it either. Try submitting the file to virustotal.com and show us the results
Where did you find this profilebuddy.exe anyway? I can't find it
Just tried installing Stylish then reinstalled Lavafox FTW but still no joy, the theme is broken with the latest Firefox/Cyberfox, not the browser's fault. The theme needs an update to bring the joy to Ms. Vigorising :$
Hey. Wow. Can U pls share the details of "broken?"
Pls know again, and, as per the last screenie I put up....in PM at least, it is still bringin Da Joy, and no way makin EIGHT TURNOVERS in its touted return to Ohio ....like someone we know.:sneaky:
Again....only current problem: in order to reveal the theme in the main portion of the GUI, I just have to click out new tab so the new Pale Moon logo screen gets gone.
Also, in the brief time I had Cyberfox, the second try, the theme appeared to install normally, but was only visible at the top portion of the GUI. Lower 7/8ths after changing the string values, the blinding white field.
Thanks for your ongoing involvement.
Hello Maximus,
The problem is not with the theme that works fine on Firefox.
The changes is because it's based on Firefox but not exactly (for example that menu button does not exist in Firefox)
Unfortunately we can support only one branch which is the official Firefox.
Best Regards,
Hi MaXimus
Unfortunately all the themes by this developer have the same issue if there overriding some CSS elements with !important; or the styling conflicts with the default nature of the theme mechanics.
Here is a list of all support themes that have been tested and confirmed working, The issue is not with CTR or CyberCTR its a theme issue.

Ooops, after all, it seems like an issue with the theme that the developer won't care to fix:
told you, the theme is broken
