you know, I gotta say that 'android' is the "Windows" of the mobile world, while WP7 and iOS is the OSX of the mobile world.

Oh yeah, the playbook still trails behind WP7 and iOS, but definitely faster than android!

How so? Their marketshare (iOS and Android) are pretty close from this last quarter (nielsen).

if the upcoming iphone is LTE capable, that might be tempting for a lot of folks who might normally opt for Android.

Hopefully we'll find out tomorrow. I know so many people that have been waiting for a Verizon iPhone announcement that they didn't upgrade to the iPhone 4 on the assumption there would be a Verizon iPhone early this year.

The biggest question I have is will the antenna issues be licked. I have an upgrade available on our account and want to dump my Droid and either get an LTE Android (Bionic probably) or a iPhone. LTE iPhone with the antenna issue fixed would almost seal the deal.

All of the logs showed just plain old CDMA iOS devices...

We won't see LTE iOS devices on Verizon till this summer or next year.

I have a "4G" phone, it's not that big of a deal... I could easily go back to 3G and I'd rarely know the difference.

There's going to be an insane number of people buying the Verizon iPhone, it's going to blow everyone away.

I don't know a single person happy with AT&T's service that owns an iPhone, not one....

Are you serious ??
I know plenty of people at work with iPhones on ATT and most are happy.
I only hear them bitch when they go traveling and get bad services then

We've waited. We've watched. We've wondered. And now, by the grace of Steve Jobs and Lowell Mcadams, we're supposedly going to see a reveal of the mythical Verizon iPhone. Of course, there's always a chance that Verizon just wants to reveal more details on LTE, or talk about the company's commitment to openness and Android... but according to the rumor mill, it's time for Big Red to get some Apple magic.

No matter what happens, we'll be there live, reporting on the news as it happens with the best liveblog in the business. Tune in at the times below on Tuesday, January 11th at this URL to see it all go down!

lolol, I am actually excited. If they indeed announce an iPhone, I'll be getting one for free from work. My boss hates AT&T with a passion, and I've been desperately wanting an iPhone for some time.

I know it's a longshot - but LTE would be sickkkkk.

I have been on AT&T for years. My contract has been up for a long time. I can afford to be on any plan on any phone I want, but to be honest I don't really use my phone a lot. I currently still use a Nokia N97. I get so many complaints about the poor quality of my AT&T service (not my phone, ) that a family member offered me about a years worth of paid phone bills plus ANY phone I want to switch to verizon. I was shocked. I also took him up on it, and am waiting to see what comes out. I felt that if he hates it that much, I will switch...lol.

Wonder if this will end up being like that Apple announcement where everyone expected something epic and all they got was the Beatles on iTunes...
