But Republicans refuse to impeach their own, which dismantles the whole concept of being responsible to the people.

Whatever dude, not sure why you are being so reactionary as if I was defending trump. Anyone on this forum regularly knows I view him as a vile POS that is the single biggest threat to democracy we have ever seen.

Leaving out the sanctioned part of the story is misleading and disingenuous. And yes, it does give him a legal defense as sanctioned boats are not the same as non sanctioned boats. The sanctioned oil tanker seized last week was the test and proves that.

So we know trumps reasoning but is any of it true? I wasn’t aware of any conflict with Venezuela prior to Trump so my understanding of what’s going on is severely limited.
