You're incorrect. Proper nutrition and exercise can bring the body back to the shape it was before pregnancy.

This is true to some extent. But then again, if you're self conscious enough about your physical appearance, there are medical procedures that will remedy this.

She's working on a degree in nutrition, has done personal training, and is an obsessive mountain hiker.

That should do it. :)

In my life i want to make sure im happy before i make anyone else. If im not happy..whats the point?

Probably the best scenario for the rest of humanity lol. I wouldn't have done it at that age, and if I ever did I would definitely bank some sperm beforehand. Of course he is positive how he will feel in his late 30's-early 40's, check your sarcasm meters if that sounds sincere. He is caught up in a time of life that for most of his generation is still very self centered. 10 years from now when the rest of his friends have matured and moved on with their lives and have children and families he will realize his lack of foresight in not even giving himself the option to produce a genetic offspring. He can always adopt, but I still think he made a bad decision.

I really agree w/your reply...I just don't know who you are/were. Who were you before?

As a person of very high intelligence, I felt morally obligated to produce offspring.

Of course, I wanted kids too. I've got 5 and I'm planning to get snipped very soon.

I'm 25, and as of right now I have ZERO desire to have kids. Maybe that will change in the future, maybe not, but I'm not getting a vasectomy for a long time (if ever).

I'm also 25 and I might entertain the notion of thinking about having children in 5 years. At the moment I have zero desire but there's always the chance I'll meet a woman who I do want to have kids with. At the same time, I feel like I could live a very happy and fulfilling life without children.

In the past couple years I've thought about getting snipped, never seriously considered it but I did do some research into it. Like I said, in five years I'll think about it and who knows, by then I might be married and dying to have kids or I might be convinced that a child-free life is fine with me. On top of that, I'm open to adoption as well. I would not really consider getting a vasectomy reversed.

And i'm getting married in 2 months. So much for making it to 40. Alot changes in 2 years, LOL.

I don't understand all of the distaste for someone deciding they don't want children. It's a personal choice, and is in no way selfish.

What about...priests? They've chosen to not have children, so are they being selfish too?

I hate kids, but it is my duty to society to pass along my awesome genes.

But then again, when I die nothing will matter.
