"Starting on October 11th, the prices of weapons and equipment in Counter-Strike: Source will be updated each week based on the global market demand for each item. As more people purchase a certain weapon, the price for that weapon will rise and other weapons will become less expensive."
I really like the way Valve is going with this. I think they've noticed the extreme success of WoW, and are going to tap into this market.
Personally, I'm not much an RPG guy... I prefer action-oriented games. But if Valve develops a first-person shooter where I could explore the world of Half-Life with thousands of other people, I would buy it.
Valve is a fantastic software company and has earned my trust, thanks in large part to their continued development and support of their games.
