so i've got a question. in nearly all the crashes, you see that these guys lock their wheels in practically every crash. Why are they locking their wheels? i mean don't they have ABS in these supercars, and even if they don't wouldn't the drivers know better than to lock their wheels when out of control? unless its some tactic in racing that i had no clue about...
ok, i understand they're going at like 150 mph, and at that speed all you really want to do is slow down as much as possible- its near impossible to regain control over yoru vehicle if you spin out at that speed! but even then, locking wouldn't help brake the car FASTER?!
any racing fans out there who can shed some light for me?
