Not sure if I understand the question. What you can do is plant a translocator, make a sortie to grab weapons or health boosts, even engage in a fight, then switch back to Translocator and alt-fire and you'll pop up where your translocator is, provided 1) no one shot up your translocator in the meantime, and 2) that there is in fact physical room for you where it is. I'm not sure if the bots' AI is programmed for them to attack a translocator probe on sight, but it used to be that way in UT.
For me, I usually Translocate up onto the generator and then run along the pipe to grab the 100-point shield, then Translocate over to the ledge to grab the health vials, and right there I'm up to 125 health and 100 shields, making me more than twice as hard to kill. I've only seen a couple other players taking the trouble to grab the shield and make themselves twice as hard to kill.
Another good tactic is to
not wait until you can see your target before firing. Speculate a little!
😀 Spool up the Minigun BEFORE rounding a corner to attack, since it takes a while to get going. If you're going around a corner into a fight with the Rocket Launcher, spool up FIRST and unload your initial 3-rocket attack right as you round the corner. And if you're firing the rocket launcher, aim for the feet and your target will take splash damage even if it's not a direct hit.
I found a viable sniping roost. If you stand at the minigun and face the purple damage booster, now look up about 30 degrees and there are a couple of ledges on your 10:30 and 1:30 positions, jutting out from the far wall. Translocate up there with a Lightning Gun and a load of ammo and see how many Headshots you can get on the unfortunate bots
