At the point they were forcing their way into the fucking Capital Building of the United States of America, they are not protestors, they are enemy combatants, and lethal force is 100% appropriate to deal with that threat.
 
Well it's been said and other people on social media have been saying that the reason the Capitol was so easily breached was that those insurrectionists had gotten direct permission from Trump to go and do what they do best and the Capitol security folks heard about Trump giving his winky thumbs up so a "symbolic show of resistance" was all that was allowed to happen.

Trump said he's was walking down Pennsylvania Ave (to the Capitol), but then just went back to the White House while the cannon fodder idiots went to the Capitol to get shot.

If you watch the video closely, they're trying to lift her through a broken window in a door when the guards on the other side shot her as she was going through. Obviously the guards on the other side of that door were NOT having that.

Woke up this morning (West Australian Time) expecting to see Ossoff's victory. Instead I see an attempted coup and sedition from the president.
