I'd argue that that all social media is tuned to bring you deeper into your misinformation of choice. It promotes further viewing by the user, which means more ads, which means more dollars. Again, they don't give a shit what you believe, so long as you're watching and they can sell more ads. This is not unique to TikTok, though TikTok seems to have a "better" algorithm. Facebook does it. Twitter does it. This is the end goal of all social media platforms. They sell you ads for your eyeballs, and they sell your data to various companies. You are both the consumer and the product.
