i guess i should have mentioned that my part(s) where not on backorder...i dont know why anyone would have made that assumption...i never said i hate the company, just that their shipping (within the same state) should have taken a few days, not over a week... if they have something i want at a good price, i would prob use them again...but i wont if i need the part quickly

Do they have a storefront then? I.e. can you look at stuff before buying or just online order and hope you like it?

Thanks,
Richard

well, yes and no. you still have to place the order on their computer there before they'll bring out the goods. the benefit is being able to check that everything looks correct. i don't know if they'll let you downright cancel or change the order just because you don't like the item, since that technically calls for a restocking fee (forgot if they have one).

you dont do your customers like that. if you tell a customer that his/her order is going out the same day, then by God you should send out his/her order that day.

but if you know that their order isnt going out until next week (or in my case OVER two weeks) then you should at least have the common courtesy of letting them know that. business is business no matter how you look at it and w/o customers, a business isnt crap and sooner or later that business' luck will run out.

you guys who are making excuses for these clowns kill me. you act like someone should have to spend "boo-koo" bucks on an order for them to actually get first class service. well, I for one will tell you thats a bunch of crap. respect is something thats earned, not given. and those idiots need to learn how to do people RIGHT especially when they know they've done people WRONG. ignoring e-mails from angry customers isnt going to make them go away. if anything else, its going to fuel the fire w/ people like myself who go out of my way to speak very BADLY of their piss-poor business practices.

yeah, I'm only one customer out of who knows how many people so I'm sure someone might say, "well Ozzie, who gives a ratt's a** what you think...."

yes, that might be true but when you have 500+ people just like myself, sooner or later its gonna come back to you. I guarantee it.

I've been in business now for over 8 years now and I know that when I let down a customer of mine that I do WHATEVER it takes to turn my wrong into a right. yeah, it might cost me a few bucks but at least I know that customer will be back and chances are will bring me a couple future customers as well.

and despite what you think, that IS how you do business the RIGHT way.

Amen to that :D

SharkyTm has said it best.

You guys gotta learn that internet bus. and baby handholding, emails with "when am I gonna get my fan", just ain't happenin. Ground ship time is 10-14 business days. You should know that. Give em time to box the crap up (add another day or so, or three). If you want it NOW, go to your local store and pay for it. If you are in a hurry..... DON'T BUY ON LINE FROM ANY BODY.

Damn... I mean some of you who received the wrong shipment.... ok... plan on it taking some time/work to get if "fixed". These scnearios just suck. However, it sounds to me like at least they "fixed" it.... in most cases!

But some of you guys want the price of just this side of stealing, AND the service of Walmart (hmmmm not sure that is a good analogy). Granted some of you have legitimate problems (delays due to wrong items shipped), but some of you just got your feelings hurt cause no one called you back to tell you how long GROUND shipping takes, or returned your email that was asking some likely retarded question.

I have ordered 5-6 times with SVC DURING the holiday madness, and ALL of my orders were at my door in 2-3 days and shipped via PRIORITY mail. All of them were perfect.

You have to remember the REASON you are getting sh!t at SUPER low prices is because they DON'T have a bunch of weenies hired to sit around and handhold. THEY ARE'nT PAYING THE PAYROLL BOYS. MEANS YOU GET A SUPER LOW PRICE. Live with that. Or don't order online from them, and get the super low prices.

I have NEVER once emailed a company to find out "when am I gonna get my "whatever". Never. I don't care.... As long as it eventually comes. I have never been burned. I also don't waste a bunch of resources whining and emailing back and forth. Sure its nice when something shows up on my door in 2-3 days (like when I have ordered from SVC), but I defenitely don't plan on that. I have spent likely your annual salary online, and not once have I called or emailed to complain or ask dumb questions, about ship time etc..

Anyway..... flame on... I like SVC so far. Oh... and they have crappy bumps at their front door, filthy rat infested lobby, no parking, and rotary dial phones too. Who gives a r@ts @ss. I am clicking on them for their prices... period. I don't expect ANY of what you would call "customer service". I'm a big boy... I can handle that.

OzzieGn is the exact kind of customer I would NEVER want. Keep on a movin. Guys/Gals like that, have it all backwards. You see it is the idiots like "Value America" who hire everyone and their grandmother to run the customer service, that go by the wayside. The internet is a place where you survive by using as little resource(s) as possible, to give the lowest price possible. F*ck customer service. God I hate customers like this guy. Nothing too personal...... I just can't stand that mentality. You want it all. Well guess what.... you can't have it all. Darn. :D I like seein ya short out... and run to the BBB, and blah.. blah.... blah. Just curious.... how many times HAVE you run to the BBB, blah.... blah.... blah? And do you actually think buyers are that damn loyal....lol.... OMG... you're kidding right? They would drop your online store in a heartbeat if you could not offer SUPER LOW prices. I don't care if you send them a damn birthday card every year. What a crock. :D Ironic Ozzies call sign "SPEED COST MONEY, HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO GO". Almost an oxymoron. (just teasin ya Ozzie)

I placed an order on a Tuesday for some cables and paid additional for fast shipping to assure that I had the cables by Friday so that I could build my new machine. They didn't ship the cables until Thursday - so I didn't get them until Monday. When I sent them an email requesting they refund the difference between the shipping I paid for and the shipping I received I was told that "the price you paid for the cables was so low that you won't get a refund."

This is VERY disturbing to me! There are always deals around the bend, If I pay for faster shipping and it says in stock it should be faster. Missing or wrong thing sent = human error & they fix it. They won't be first on my list.

LoL, great rant...I didn't want to add fuel to the fire but this was right on target :D

Its jokers like ozzie that spill coffee on themselves and then want to sue the restaurant that sold it to them b/c the coffee wasn't in an airtight vacuum sealed pod that ensured no liquid escaped. If you want exceptional customer service, then expect to pay for it. Feel free to buy a tube of AS3 for $14 from Newegg, I guarantee you they ship it that day and its on your doorstep in 3 days max. Go ahead and get your 4 rounded cables there while you're at it, It'll come out to $48 + $30 shipping.......if you want a Blue Orb you can add on another $9 + $6 shipping.... an SLK-800 will cost you $50 minimum.

I also really appreciated that one guy's comments about his displeasure with SVC b/c they incorrectly filled 6 of his orders; it left such a bad taste in his mouth that he's placed 12 total orders lol. You'd think someone that disgusted with their "reliability" would've learned his lesson; guess not.
rolleye.gif

Also, it clearly states if an order is time-sensitive, call them to ensure everything is in stock and that they can pull it in time for delivery. It also states they try to ship that day if placed before 2pm est, or the next day, but I don't see a guarantee ANYWHERE. If your correspondences look anything like these "work for my hard-earned cash blah blah blah" rants, its no big surprise you're getting stiffed. They simply don't want/need you as a customer.

I guess I'll sum it up with a quote:

well Ozzie, who gives a ratt's a** what you think...." and we don't give a sh1t about your $5. It costs us $4.95 to ship to your address:

123 Orders Never Wrong with Same Day Shipping
Fantasy Land, Utopia 123456

We took extra care in wrapping your $5 bill real tight around this tube of AS3, now go stick it..................

Best Regards!
SVC

Damn..... some of you don't get it.

Because you pay TWO DAY shipping, does not mean you get your item in TWO DAYS.
It means that your item will be shipped two day, when it ships. Damn.... no one ships the same day you pay. What's scary... is these guys posting this stuff are serious.

thats fine cuz as you know, the computer-internet sales business is just like the tire business. its VERY cut-throat and only the strongest will survive. the ones that do business the right way are the ones that will survive.

Keep on a movin.

thats fine. just lemme know what the name of your internet business is, and I'll be sure to add ya to my "never go there" list...

oh, and one more thing. you somewhat stated that loyal customers arent a modern day fact life of? huh, I dont know what kind of business (or where) you do, but my customers are loyal and they've been coming back since who knows how long.

gee, maybe its either they're loyal or I'm just holding a gun to their heads thus making them come back.

hmmm, you decide.

heh, this thread is beginning to remind me of the "OCZ" days to where I'd get into arguements w/ clowns who would constantly defend those crooks even though they had a two mile long list at Reseller's Rattings about how terrible they screwed people.

yeah, I was also one of those people who got screwed by OCZ but only once, not twice.

anyways, now the saga continues. same BS, different company...

oh and chizow,

your lovely comments seem to amuse me. especially the part of "we'll wrap up the $5 bill.....blah blah blah......"

un-huh, whatever.

I spend TONS of money w/ Newegg and they have yet (in two years) to let me down. why? cuz they know whats goin' on and they dont give customers excuses, they give their customers what they paid for and they also dont take two freakin' weeks to send out my stuff.

heck, as a matter of fact, as long as I place my order by 2:00PM EST, my orders (98% of the time) go out that same day anyway.

oh, and then your reply might be, "well, Ozzie. I'm sure that Newegg has alot more people in their shipping department than SVC so they have the man power of sending it out the same day."

again, thats a bunch of B.S. -if you know that you do that kind of volume (like SVC obviously does) then you damn sure better be hiring some extra hands. there are tons of people who are out of work so finding decent help isnt hard at all. that is in fact if SVC was even looking for help at all. saying and doing are two different things.

so then you might reply w/ "well, they did have a help wanted ad on their front page for who knows how long..." -oh please, I know plenty of business people that have a "help wanted" sign on their door 24/7 just because they like to always have a fresh supply of applications should they ever need them at a dime's notice.

but then again, I dont know why I'm letting you clowns work me up in the first place. hell, I'll bet that most of you guys argueing against me dont have the first bit of self-employed knowledge to begin with.

I've ordered from SVC on numerous occasions, and have never had any problems. My orders are usually small, 3-4 fans, some Artic Silver, stuff like that, so I wouldn't be able to speak to large orders from them, as whenever I buy any major component, I always go through newegg. But for the little stuff, SVC seems to be great, at least for me so far (knocks on wood).

Having said that, I've seen plenty of online resellers go from being king of the hill to bottom of the barrel in a matter of weeks, so I tend to take nothing for granted.

"Value America"

Now thats a name I haven't heard for a long time...

I still have my electric dryer, professional smoker (meat), electric smoker (meat, video cards, ad nauseum...from their Value Dollars/Bucks. That was a great run while it lasted!

Placed an order for a Vantec Nexus 201 fanbus thing on Jan 8. On the 16th, I e-mailed to tell them I have not yet received it. This is their response:

"Our records indicate that the package was delivered"

Which means didly squat to me - considering it was not delivered to ME. I don't have it, nor do I know where it is, nor have I seen it, nor did I sign for it. They replied the following day:

"We will have to initiated an investigation with USPS. We will do our best to alleviate the situation."

Well today is the 23rd, I still don't have my fanbus thingy...hmmm

yeah, basically that could mean something like:

*a bug in SVC's office hears the following*:

"okay, who lost this guys order? I just told him that we are starting an investigation so that will buy us a good week or two of time until we figured out who dropped the ball on this guy's order. In the meantime, I dont wanna anyone to respond to any further e-mails that he might send. that way he'll think we're too busy to answer his e-mails because we're working on his package investigation."

The USPS SUCKS anyways.

Online, you should always go either FedEx or UPS. Most of the time, you don't have to sign anything for USPS orders. They just drop the package at your door, and if someone walks by, and sees it, they can just take it.

With how much FedEx Ground DESTROYS the post office in shipping, I'm begining to wonder when it will be cheaper to FedEx a letter rather than put a stamp on it and send it.

It's just about the opposite around here. Usps comes to the door, if you're not there they leave a yellow slip in your mailbox. Fedex ans ups both just leave them at the door, ups just rings the bell and runs whether you are home or not. I know the usps is bad, but ups is worse. I beg everyone I order from not to use them. Fedex is not bad though.

It'll be a long time before fedex can deliver a letter for what usps does. Call them and see how close they can get to .37. If they handled as many letters as usps their delivery would probably not be perfect either. I'm not taking up for usps, just being realistic. I'm not sure fedex greound destroys parcel post in price.

I've placed several orders with them. Everything was cool until the last order when they forgot to pack a few items. I contacted them and they sent the forgotten items immediately.

On the down side, a few of the rounded cables I ordered from them failed on me! Not good! Maybe not really their fault-rather the fault of the cable manufacturer. But SVC IS selling these cables so they should stand behind them. Whatever-don't buy their cables, but everything else should be cool.

SVC sucks! Check out their reseller ratings. Beginning of January I ordered some assorted stuff to see what they're like.

Ordered.
4 days later no word on my order. Email them.
3 days later. Email is answered. An item is backordered, do I want to drop that item and have everything else shipped. Yes.
7 days later. I get 3 emails from 3 different SVC addresses telling me my order has shipped.

Its funny, because after I left them a very poor rating at Yahoo Store, they responded within hours. Rodney "Wang" blamed ME for the delay...said it was because my billing address and shipping address, BOTH of which are on file with CC and have caused me ZERO problems the other hundred online places I've ordered, are different.

Well guess what....UPS tried delivering my package yesterday to my FREAKING BILLING ADDRESS. SVC mailed it to the wrong freaking address.

I'll never order from those jokers again...lesson learned :)

Have placed over a DOZEN orders with SVC. All have arrived in timely fashion, well packaged. No problems with shipping, either. I had one problem in one order for 3-4 pin adapters which was solved instantaneously. They shipped me another order, no questions asked.
