<< I'm confused. How did NewEgg rip you off? You say ""I was not aware if it was refurbished because newegg was selling it as a "new" drive"" HOW did this drive become an refurb? You say it was an OEM, you say it was Refurb. Now which is it? >>
Ok If you read my posts I never claimed it was a refurb...I did say that Newegg was selling it as a new drive because IF it was a refurb they must state it so.
<< The link you provided was for an OEM drive, not an refurb. Can you PLEASE get your story straight, this is why you sound like your Trolling NewEgg. You make comments with nothing to back them up. ""Yes it is the same drive....and someone deserves to be bashed here...shoddy business practice"" I STILL don't see their shotty business practices people?? This guy purchases an OEM drive. The drive goes bad 3 months later. He immediately calls IBM and IBM turns him down giving him some lame story that it's an IBM drive and they wont warranty it. Then you sit around and trash NewEgg and basically call them theives and liars. Yet you have not even spoken to them! >>
Ok if Newegg claims there is a 3 year warrenty on the drive and on there invoice they have a number that says calls IBM for service which I did....and the RMA rep at IBM who is probably still laughing his ars off !?!?! That means I am trolling Newegg? PAAAAALEAAAASE!!
<< Realize you purchased an OEM Drive!!! It very well could have been from Dell or any other OEM!!!! How you can say they are practicing shaddy business is way beyond me. They specifically TOLD you it was an OEM drive. Dell is an OEM!!! IBM is definately the one who is not forfilling their obligation as a company. Everytime you keep saying "IBM says they wont warranty the drive" Yet you keep saying NewEgg is ripping you off? Does anyone else see the problem with this? Actually CALL newegg. You'd expect someone who's got 2855 post to have the common sense to not troll a company without even speaking to them!!!! For the time being...IBM is at fault here. Please Explain EXACTLY how NewEgg ripped you off??? You purchased an OEM Drive...IBM is the one refusing the warranty it, not NewEgg. Newegg sold you the specific item you wanted. An OEM harddrive. It has been over 3 months since you purchased it! You know the risk you take when you purchase an OEM drive, especially from IBM!!!! It's not Neweggs fault that IBM wont back up their product. But call Newegg and see what they can do >>
I See your point there and as I claimed in earlier posts I will rescend my comments toward Newegg if they make good on the drive if Not I will be Bashing three companies Newegg,DELL and IBM
